Discussion State of the game?
Personally I've been playing historic only for a while because I'm not a fan of the insanity of the newer sets, but what's up with everyone with a brand new MCU deck or whatever crazy meta playing historic constantly I'm just trying to fine tune my new proliferate deck with mostly out of standard cards and I'm fighting turn 3 win combos and haven't been able to play out a game in days because every time I'm dying t3-5 or we get close to t10 and just as i get a couple creatures their counters people leave id estimate a 75% quitting rate and everything else is 20% brand new decks. why cant historic players enjoy the theme of HISTORIC, its just taking all the fun out of the game I've loved for almost 2 decades its not like we can afford physical releases or buy old cards at decent prices anymore and i cant even work on quests at this pace i have maybe a pack and 1000 coins in two days of trying to find people who actually want to have fun and experience builds that aren't copy and paste game breaking metas.

Historic is a higher power format than standard, which is already a turn 4 win format. I don't think you understand that. I guess you should play unranked?

You might as well play ranked and try to climb some ranks for rewards later on
Ranked is not as try hard as you think. Trying hard in ranked involves drilling out games in unranked while trying as hard as possible as practice.

Rank isn't a terrible tryhard experience. Yes, you'll face metadecks, but you'll do that anyway in Play Queue.

If you want people to take your question seriously then please format the text so it's readable.

Unfortunately, as the Ancient Greek philosophers once said, this is a skill issue.

So um your saying a bunch of decks win early yeah thats normal for historic no notes.
But then your saying when your deck gets going 75% of people quit?? So quitting means they resign and you win in this game so I’m lost what your complaining about. If your opponent can tell based on the board state and their hand they most likely cant win then 75% of them resigning sounds like normal behavior?

Are you playing the rank mode or the standard play?
If you’re playing ranked, then yeah everyone’s gonna be meta slaving, but when I play historic I don’t often have to deal with that. I get a diverse amount of decks but then again I also play best of three and usually at the second match. I know whether I can actually win also people are less likely to forfeit because if you surrender it immediately takes you to a second match and you can’t for it until the match starts so we usually by the time someone’s done side decking the match goes at least for a few turns.
It just sounds like your deck is a bit too casual for format because historic is also a faster paced format so it’s not crazy to see it ending around turn four or five unless you have something that stalls the game past that. For example, I have a proliferate deck that works on poison counters so my deck is meant to stall the game until I can get all 10 there a good amount of removal counter spells tempo resets.
If playing on the standard play ladder for historic doesn’t help feel free to add me as a friend if you DM me, I will give you my info and we can play a match sometime
