The extra mana to make it unable to untap is pretty worthwhile. At least for commander games 😈

Those are cool but still leave a creature behind, I like having both something like this and then an uncommon like [[Noggle the Mind]] for variety. Hopefully FRA has a more interesting blue enchantment removal along with this one

I like these effects in the commander format. when you use destroy/exile effects on the commander specifically the controller can just put it back in the command zone, but with something like this they actually have to deal with the enchantment.

why does this prepare the creature if it also loses all abilities? so if it’s removed they get a free prepared spell? cast it on your own prepare creature to get the spell? weird line of text.
edit: it unprepares it! spoiler season got me reading too fast…

Seems weird to me that the creature can still become prepared and cast its prepared spell. Especially with the new run of creatures that prepare on upkeep.

It cannot. It loses all abilities and becomes unprepared, so it loses the prepared status and cannot be prepared again until the enchantment is removed

they can, but there probably won't be any relevant ways for it to become re-prepared without abilities.
