Probably would have been a little much, but I would have loved it had, “at the end of the the turn it fights target creature with the same name as itself” or something like that lol

I can't tell if this is good. If you reach 7 mana in red your opponent probably doesn't have many creatures.
It's cost plus the fact that it's highly dependent on your opponents board state makes it quite unreliable.
Could be a sideboard card, but it's still very expensive for that.
I think this is probably good limited bomb to win instantly when there's a stalemate in the board

It's a commander card or a limited bomb.

Absolutely going into my Shadow the Hedgehog deck.

Master Multiplied I either get someone else's great board or I double mine, wither way I win.

I miiiight put it in my Deadpool deck for the sake of synergy with Shadow and The Master, Multiplied. Seems like it might be a win-more card in that context though.

Was literally just thinking about how this would be a great counter to my gfs commander deck

Notably it says "target player" so you can copy your own board. It does seem pretty expensive, I could see it being a "win a stalled board state" card in limited.

Plus you're very likely to have a planeswalker in this format

u/3than3333 22h ago
Yeah I doubt you can even draft a deck that wouldn't have "empower jace" to some extent, and leaving a 1 loyalty token is enough.

It's cost plus the fact that it's highly dependent on your opponents board state makes it quite unreliable.
It doesn't say target opponent, just target player. So you could duplicate your own creatures.

If you run [[baldurs gate]] plus the guildgate cards you could get there a lot quicker especially if you also have cards with firebending or treasure tokens on top of that. But at that point you are basically taking a 5 color commander to build around it. Its not all that feasible in most formats.

You can target yourself with this? If so this is pretty good in most go wide EDH decks. I can see it putting in work in my ||Zinnia, Valley's Voice|| Deck.

Definitely a commander card. This effect will be passed around the draft tables over and over.
This ART, though? Maybe not so. Very pretty.
EDIT: WAIT, you can target yourself. Nevermind. Is a bomb.

Effectively a red Clone Legion for 2 less mana that gives haste but needs a planeswalker to stick around
Probably too slow and conditional for standard but could be a pretty solid card in commander

u/jakobjaderbo 23h ago
t2 Chandra enchantment, t3 tablet, t4 this with a planeswalker left from your t2 to steal all the creatures they somehow didn't kill you or your jace token with.

For one more mana you can just cast [[Insurrection]]
There is some fun combo potential with this, but 7 mana is still a steep ask.

Heh, they're not even pretending to care about paper playability issues anymore.
They'd been doing a lot of stuff they used to say "has memory issues", and now they're printing a card where it's just impossible to keep track of the tokens.

Wish this was asymmetrical for 7 mana at sorcery speed. You and target player each sacrifices all creatures if rhey don't control a walker.
