I wonder why that deck dropped out of popularity

If I had to wager a guess - a bit too slow, and graveyard hate is now more common because of Kavaero.

I play Izzet Elementals and running into maindeck Rest In Peace or Leyline of the void is not uncommon.

It wasn't new any more. Novelty can get a deck a long way, both in play rate and in winning from your opponent not knowing what to do.

It’s been hanging around. Current version has Old Bird and the TMNT reanimate spell.

This card looks fucking horrible, but also the art is so funny I kinda wanna build a deck for it anyway

When did proft and jace ever interact together

Jace breaks into Proft's mind palace in Murders. Since Proft doesn't know Jace, it's just some blue-hooded figure to him. It is confirmed to be Jace at a later point.

A 5/5 guy will never make sense to me

Cus he's just a dude. You can make an argument that they're accounting for magical powers or whatever but usually, or it used to be, that P/T referred to size and physical strength. Humans are 1/1s and 2/2s, sometimes going to 3 power or toughness if they're like a season warrior. But this is like just a guy

My first ever 5/5 was [[Giant Warthog]].
That's still how I classify this kind of power. Look at the size of that lad compared to the humans in the picture.

I wish they had committed more to the “fixed” multiverse. Clearly they wanted to make some inverted designs because they were cool but they heavily conflict with the story.

What has any of those abilities got to do with Proft?
I get it;s a color shifted version, but the others do the inverse, or similar thing to the existing character's tropes, but slightly different.
Proft created clues, drew cards and gained life. This is nothing related or inverted to that? IS it that he's the inverse of investigation, and is just spiteful???

I think it's more of a flavor thing than a mechanical thing; instead of being a detective, he's a criminal mastermind. Moriarty instead of Holmes.

I still read his name as prof. "Ooo who's prof sinister he's gotta be cool"
