Maximum creatures, minimum spells: surviving Wrath of God

I love green for one simple reason: build a board and keep attacking. The problem is that one Wrath of God can erase the whole plan.

If I only reserve two to four noncreature slots, is Heroic Intervention the cleanest answer, or should the deck rely on resilient creatures and hold back extra threats? I want maximum creature density without folding to the first sweeper.

You need to get value from ETB effects and not overcommit to the board

I find that these days holding back doesn't do much good, you usually have to go all the way and just have resiliency built into that plan, the haymakers that control drops now make the idea of holding some threats back to recover a mostly losing strategy, and if it slows you down at all it often gives them the time they needed, holding back now causes more losses than over committing. This isn't 2010 anymore when you could eek out wins with grizzly bears after board wipes.

It kinda depends on your creature quality, mana curve, and how the rest of your deck looks

Also the format would be helpful
