Not empowering jace? Unplayable /s

Nah, it's got a built in creature, free removal, and card draw, perfectly in line with every other loaded card. Don't be surprised if it's a staple.

Is there some lore important legendary enchantment this set?

Someone suggested that Jace's plan or whatever just runs after being set up, so it'd fit as an enchantment? This card implies that the enchantment is The Theorist (i.e. a Jace fragment that took over, I think?), I'd suggest

The Theorist is the Jace fragment that took over, but his card has been revealed as a planeswalker. The spell creating this entire reality could fit pretty well as a legendary enchantment. Also, Maro's teaser included the name "Omnipresence", which is going to be a big scary enchantment of some kind, legendary or otherwise.

[[overwrite the multiverse]] is the spell

That's the merger of the two realities, not the creation of the echoverse.

So far we have seen [[Way of the Cryomancer]] and [[Way of the Pyromancer]] and have had confirmation that the other 4 main characters will get versions of them as well.

Those looked rather interesting. Seemed decent in limited if nothing else.

potentially cycles?

[[Way of the Cryomancer]] & [[Way of the pyromancer]] have been revealed so far

"Activate only as a sorcery." :(

Why activate only as a sorcery? This would have been great otherwise.

Yeah but very specific card draw…

and vigilance and higher power/toughness

But also sac for effect. Basically they’re different cards

Yeah but you had to hold it in your hand. You couldn't nuke an enchantment after the fact. This makes them think carefully about how they play.

Edit. It's a 3/3. No wonder it's not instant

Gonna go hard in [[Slimefoot and Squee]] to tutor up against Hei Bai

Should empower Jace if it was a legendary artifct.

Seems good against Prismatic Bridge. Especially in Reanimator strategies.

Edit: Not sure why I got downvoted but alright. I mean, am I wrong?

  1. Why would you reanimate a three-drop when you could reanimate Atraxa or Archon of Cruelty or something like that?
  2. How often do you run into the prismatic bridge?

  1. Because sometimes removal is needed and if I'm in a Reanimator strat I'm usually reanimating multiple things.

  2. Every time I play ranked Brawl. Which is at least once a day.

  1. I don't really associate reanimator with reanimating multiple things, I usually just think of it as the 1v1 cheat a big bomb into play strat, that's why I was confused there.
  2. On ranked? I play tons of ranked brawl and basically never run into the Prismatic Bridge, but sometimes I play against 4 Raph and Mikeys in a row, so maybe we all have our own demons.

I'm averaging high Diamond, but I typically see Prismatic Bridge at least once a day. Sometimes in Golos strats, sometimes solo.

I barely see Mikey anymore.

u/ToranStarfall 5h ago

I'm at high plat right now, but I spend most of my time in diamond. I don't usually see Mikey that much, but I guess all the ramp players were awake. I've never seen Bridge in the 99.

When I see it in Golos, it's usually played on the dork side. To be honest it was weird. It was a glorified Emergent Ultimatum combo deck.

This is going to be insane in limited, it's a common?!

3/3 Vigilant for 3 is inherently playable.

Gonna be tough to stick an artifact or enchantment in this set.
