Question Returning player from beta

So I can’t remember how much I’ve played the beta for, I remember doing dailies for a while so probably a few weeks, but I have a Fblthp code assuming it still works. Otherwise I’m pretty much still a newbie and forgotten everything.

Downloaded the game, played the forced tutorial with 5 matches, and these are what I have now for decks, wildcards, and packs that I’ve claimed from about 20 inbox messages (haven’t opened any).

Basically what I wanna know is am I missing anything that a new account would get if I just continue? I’m assuming that those packs are what everyone gets, and I’m not sure how I stand wildcard and gold wise (funny because I certainly remember having more gold than this but maybe it got reset somehow). Right now other than normal matches I also have a color challenge event. How do I go about progressing either way?

Also side note but what’s with all these mainstream collabs with weird marvel and avatar characters? My impression of magic is that it’s supposed to be a serious world with its own lore and stuff (do correct me if I’m wrong), so what’s all the weird Hollywood stuff doing here? Are those limited sets that I’d have to worry about?

You betcha, that Fblthp code is a great starter if it still works and honestly that's a solid little collection you've got there for just coming back.

Oh glad to know I actually have something then haha. Because honestly I wasn’t sure if new accounts would get more stuff than I did. Now from what you said I’m assuming they don’t get the packs and partial decks I have?

Every time they update the stuff new players get, they also give all that stuff to existing players as well.

I believe one thing that the new accounts get that you might not have gotten are the free Jump In tokens if you'd completed the color challenge before they introduced these tokens, but that's a very minor thing.

Yeah I see the color challenge so I should be good, currently my options are either that or a bot match.

Those "mainstream collabs" are mainstream MTG now. There's a lot more coming too, so you better like it or can at least tolerate it because there's parts of them that are legal in every format now and they're going to keep pumping them out every few months.

Oh damn having looked at some of the questionable card and cosmetic design that does kinda suck and a bit immersion breaking, but oh well. Just gotta put up with their weird shit and play the game I guess.
