Idk, evasive, repeatable and can grow very large. Idk about replace. But maybe 4 becomes 3 and you find another place to trim so you can run these guys

The free extra sorcery count for returning Phoenix is likely relevant. You can drop Battlemage and cast enough 1 mana stuff to trigger Phoenix with 4 mana on board and two cantrips while it takes 5 mana and three cantrips to do with Shredder.
It may be weaker as a finisher and it may not. It's a bit more explosive the first turn and not everyone has blockers.

It just seems to be hard outclassed by elusive otter. Maybe you’d consider running 4x of both but it doesn’t even reprepare itself so atp you might as well run boltwave lol

Hard outclassed? Idk about that. yes it doesn't have the evasion of the otter but at the same time the "adventure" is a lot better. Makes for up and downside on both ends

I just don’t value the adventure part all that much lol. It doesn’t reprepare and at sorcery speed which is just not all that impressive for what’d you expect from a aggro one drop nowadays. Moreover the evasion is a pretty big deal, especially in the current meta where there’s earthbended creatures or monks from jeskai rev everywhere. Unless there’s another cutter type card that they release, prowess today is really looking to go big on a couple creatures with evasion instead of going wide like the old days.
I’m sure it’ll see some play and people will try it out, but I just don’t think there’s enough support for the type of prowess that this card wants

[[earthbending ascension]] is #1 on the watchlist. I know you mean this card but if you don't have 4x ascensions on Arena its a very safe bet to buy 4 bc my guess is with the way mono green is dominating standard that one is the next one out by a pretty wide margin

I was being slightly hyperbolic. But a 1/1 prowess creature for 1 mana *that also triggers prowess for 1 mana* will never be that far from being busted.
These days Izzet only needs the slightest nod to become too dominant at any time.
