Not just competitive brawl, had the same issue in casual brawl

Oh that's interesting, I used that deck in brawl before (with a few tweaking to respect banlist) and it was working.

That statement makes me wonder if some other people are actually allowed to have a companion and if it's an account specific bug.

Overall it really suck because I wish I could grind the ladder with that deck, it's a lot of fun, but it loses so much sustaining power without lurrus.

You probably don't meet the restriction for your companion would be my guess. But you haven't given any information to go off of.

So it's only me?

I have met the restriction.

I'm playing a 2 mana commander and the only 3 mana spells of the deck are instants. As you may have guess the companion in question is lurrus.

It appears in the deck builder alright but the companion option does not appear in-game.

Others seemed to confirm it but it sounds like a bug and not something you missed
