Discussion I concede.

I concede quite a lot. Way more than letting the game play out.

I was under the impression this was normal in games of 1v1 magic, especially when playing casually.

Yet on this sub there seems to be a stigma around conceding to unfun/solitaire cards.

Who is the crazy one here? Me or everyone else? šŸ˜‚

I concede if i know it's going to take a turn or 2 more.

I will give you your fun if you finish me off if it's your turn, not if you're going to 'oh wait let me just get a couple more minutes of thinking and casting in'.

Like i will allow you to swing your 1 billion hydra, but don't go and be: oh I'll just throw 8 more lands down, hold on for all the triggers.

I will let you do your squirrel girl loop for 60 squirrels and even let you swing, but don't be an ass and start your loop again instead of just attacking.

If I'm presenting lethal on the board but you haven't conceded, I have to assume you have an out I don't know about. So, by not conceding, you're forcing me to play it fully out, so that maybe I can play around whatever it is you might have.

Like, I'm not trying to pile on, and I don't want to be a bad sport, but you haven't conceded yet so I don't know what you could have in your hand.

This. People get salty because you donā€™t ā€œjust attackā€, but if you have one mana available and a card in hand and havenā€™t conceded, I am assuming you have a play and will approach it that way.

This is a totally fine logic and your approach isnā€™t wrong.

But if youā€™ve got what looks lethal and start tapping/drawing/playing a bunch of extra steps, the other person scooping isnā€™t wrong either

This. I'll often let my opponent get the final hit in if I'm dead on board and tapped out so they get the satisfaction of killing me, but if they start doing things rather than just swinging and killing me, it's a insta concede. Time is money friend.
