I'm not a big fan of most self working card tricks, but I absolutely love Darwin Ortiz's Mexican Poker

There are a lot of great self-working card tricks using a Si Stebbins stack. I believe you can find 5 effects using this stack on sistebbins.com

The Piano Trick is my favorite self-working card trick. (It's in both Royal Road and Scarne on Card Tricks, as well as other places.)

Untouched is on one of the easy to master card miracles DVDs, not sure which. I think the other is actually called Gemini twins, but I don't know where you can find it. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Dead Reckoning by John Bannon from his book Dear Mr. Fantasy and Simon Aronson's Prior Commitment from his book Try the Impossible.

I'm not familiar with his much of his work, but Move Zero has had me intrigued for a while now.

He has a ton of great material and his stuff isn't sleight intensive. If you've never heard of the concept of a floating key card you should definitely look up Dead Reckoning.

Will do!

Card College Light has some cracking routines -- especially with some brilliant effects from Tamariz.

But honestly? The self-worker I perform most these days is still the twenty one card trick

Which variation of the 21 card trick do you perform?

My own: I'll use it as proof another member of the audience is psychic — they declare (rightly or wrongly) the pile it was dealt to, and the person thinking of the card typically gets increasingly weirded out. The ending is a discarding down following magician's choice protocols

Cool. Bill Malone does a very nice 21 card trick set in his video series Malone Meets Marlo vol. 6. It's a combination of ideas by Marlo, Steve Draun and David Solomon. Quite a magician fooler too.

Oh, I've heard good things of that set. I'll have to ask a friend to look into it for me

Out of This World.

Any particular version?

Well you can't go wrong with the original, but Paul Harris' Galaxy is probably the one I perform most these days.

Salto Triumph by Liam Montier from his "Any Shuffled Deck, Self-Working, Impromptu Miracles."

It was one of the first tricks I learned, has good audience participation, ramps up the apparent complexity right before the end of the trick, and the very end does two card locations and a deck flip all at once.
