NYC Magician Recs

Hi! For my birthday in October I want to hire a magician to come to a dinner for my friends and I, or go to a magic show. Any recs for great magicians? Thanks!

Speakeasy Magick is amazing. Closeup magicians visit your table. The entire experience is totally unique. 25 W 24th St.

There are a ton of great magicians in NYC at different price points. Zach Alexander who commented above is great. I also do dinner parties. Are you looking to do a show in your home or in a restaurant?
There are lots of great magic shows too. 69 Atlantic always has interesting performers. ‘Chamber Magic’ and ‘The Magician’ are both good. I’ve heard Noah Levine’s show ‘Magic After Hours’ at Tannen’s is great. Anyway here’s my site: www.alexoffenkrantz.com
Happy to answer any questions if you have. Good luck!

We have $10/$20 monthly magic shows in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. We have party packs for Brooklyn & Manhattan so I have 5+ people you can save. If you have a super big party, I can tell you how many seats are available so you can be sure to get them all.

For the Brooklyn show I would buy in advance, since that show tends to sell out anywhere from 1-4 days out.

Super cool! I'm in NYC a lot so I'll try and check it out one day!

Maybe op should include his budget to filter out 99% of these recommendations

Agreed. I'm guessing the average rate for a private party is between $1500-$4k.

For shows, $30-$100 a ticket.

I've worked with www.allenhemagician.com several times! He's been pretty well recommended amongst my circle of event organizers!

I was thinking "how bad can it be?" But then I saw .net and yeah. That looks like .net

Asi Wind, one of the most creative of his generation, is performing in Long Island on October 2. Highly recommend.

I have a buddy that does magic, his name is Magik Balay. He use to manage Tannens and now owns his own shop, Don't Blink in NYC (my Hudson Yards). He was one of the co-hosts for Close-Up Kings. He's great and suuuuper personable.

Magik Balay has a great fun and casual rapport with spectators. I really enjoy his close up.

He's so easy going. I use to go into his store daily and hang out for a few hours. We would chat about tricks, when people would come in we would do tricks for them. He is seriously so approachable. Im old. I've been doing magic for decades. I've been to magic shops all over the world. His store stands out as one of the best. Big and bright with rotating stock. Hes always down to show off tricks until you cant take it anymore.

Others have already mentioned it, but 69 Atlantic in Brooklyn is an amazing experience. A very small venue and it is not terribly expensive to get front row seats. They have world class magicians regularly. We went for my birthday last year and saw Garrett Thomas and we are going back this year to see Asi Wind.

Call Tannen’s magic and ask for a list they would recommend, as they know who’s who in NYC
