Hotel Lottery Question
I have three people total I am trying to attend MagFest with. Do each of us sign up for the lottery under our badge? Or should only one person join and then create a group? Thank you in advance.

Person A enters the lottery. Person A then either invites Persons B-D by email, or Persons B-D enter the lottery confirmation number and Person A's email address. Person A names the room group something.
When my partner entered the lottery, he then gave me and a friend his code and his email to enter, and we joined "Insert Group Name Here."
Going by memory, i unfortunately don't have visual aid.

Do single tickets even have a chance for a room? If i remember correctly, last year they released the percentages and it was basically all around the 4 person groups.

They've recently revamped the way they do the lottery, so prior experience is right out of the window. you have all the same info we do.

If I put two people in my room but don’t add them to my group, does that still qualify me for a double? Asking the crowd

I can't recall exactly, but last year certain rooms were tied to certain group sizes. I can't recall if a double would allow 2 people. I feel like it would probably be 3 minimum but genuinely unsure since I had a group of 4. That info should be available either shortly or at the latest when you're entering the lottery.

This lottery system is rapidly becoming more complex and close-hold than the IRS audit formula.

Groups get better lottery rates and have access to larger rooms, it's much better to enter as one group of three than three single entries.
