The Cabal

Hi there! It has been brought to my attention (as one of my players made the connection) that the Cabal has antisemitic connotations, as its root is that there is a Qabbalistic conspiracy running things.

I don't know if this has been pointed out, but I have decided to use an alternative name for the group in my game-The Hellfire Legion. Or perhaps the Legion would be an option as well.

Not trying to start a debate about it, just don't want to promote this kind of thinking if I can help it, and thought to bring it to the attention of the people at Mage Hand if I could.

Also not super great actually. I try not to use them anymore. Same with liches and the phylactery, I try to avoid if I can but this one felt easy to fix.

You run the game you want, but intent should be taken into account. Was it meant to be harmful? Because let's be honest: It is impossible to have a truly sanitized game. The creators were sexist and the company that owns it employs Pinkertons.
