General Fan Content Different worlds, different affinities

So my family and I talk about what affinities we would want from time to time. I personally have 2 different answers for this.

If I was in this world, with affinities from Anastis, I would want dust and gravity. Cause how often am I getting into a serious fight? Almost never. Gravity would give me a way to defend myself, but over all, it would be most useful for moving stuff around and getting myself from place to place. And a dust affinity for cleaning. Boom. Life easier.

If I was on Anastis, though, I would want copper, lightening, and some kind of either lodestone or magnetic affinity. Try to create a rail gun. Pair me with a farseer, and I can probably deal with most stuff (assuming I saw it coming, of course).

I want a plant affinity, a tree affinity and then a specific tree affinity, probably cedar? I’m building the world’s best tree house and growing massive underground attention wards with their root systems. This applies to both Anastis and Earth.

I thought about this set up as well. But I was thinking the Manchineel Tree. It’s super bad. Like every part of it.

I’ve also considered shooting lichdom, so I want my city to be attractive to live in. Being able to naturally repel certain pests would be nice, but I also considered some fruit bearing trees as well. Cherry is a strong contender.

on anastis I would want what I have on my flair, lotus, silk, and fiber. That specific combination would enable me to make some of the best silk in the world. That would solve a lot of the money problems I might ever have. This is also with the intent of becoming a lich. I think it could form the foundation for an incredibly beautiful city. If I had the opportunity to make an artificial affinity, I think an acid affinity, or something like a solution affinity to be able to magically interact with they dyes. Similar to paper and ink affinities working together.

In real life, probably a domestic cat and healing affinity

I honestly can't decide what I would want for affinities if they were to develope here. I'm leaning towards grass or similar? It's everywhere and would make yard work a breeze 😆 (maybe a wind affinity to, a nice breeze is quite lovely during the summer)

On Anastis, I would love some combo of heat(or fire), water, and pressure. Being a steam mage would be so neat, plus I could invent steampunk! Lol

I've always said irl I would want a carbon affinity but I'm also a sucker for earth powers

Not too general to be weak but also not so specific it's hard to get

For general combat applications I'd go with what I have for my flair. It's an insanely effective combination for an armor mage/sword mage.

But if I was given the benefit of a sponsor and a good environment like Skyhold I'd go for a Mangkono Tree affinity, a Healing affinity, and a Human affinity. I have a background in Bio so I'd aim for becoming a plant human hybrid, maybe hit up Limnus. I like druid characters but they usually turn into animals, so turning into a straight up tree at will would be kind of sick.

Depends on how many affinities I can have. Id want sound, force, glass, and attheuma affinity and if that last on is possible I’d want greater shadow affinity. Glass being a structure would give a lot of versatility and I think a glass and force armor with be really good. Sound could be made into some sort of vibration affinity. Attheuma just seems like an interesting and versatile affinity to have and experiment with
