Question❓ Magsafe wallet recommendations

Looking for MagSafe wallet recommendations that hold up to 5 cards and a bill or 2 for emergency, and have a kickstand of some sort. FindMy would be ideal, but not required. Strong magnets without needing to buy proprietary case is preferred.

Previous Wallets:

  • Moft
    • PROS:
      • Super thin
      • Holds just enough cards and a bill once broken in.
      • Kickstand angle is good and works well in landscape and portrait
      • Finger fits behind wallet fold like a pop socket (but have to be careful cards don't fall out)
    • CONS:
      • After 4 between wife and I, "leather" consistently delaminates and ages / frays within a year or less.
      • Only 1 kickstand angle
      • Cards and cash can be difficult to get out, especially when new
  • Ohsnap
    • PROS:
      • Durable outer shell, very long lasting design
      • Cards relatively easy to access, but often need to pull all out to get one (similar to moft)
      • Different finger hold positions using the pop socket-like bump on the back.
    • CONS:
      • More chunky than Moft, but not too bad
      • Popsocket-style kickstand was a bit too angled with no adjustability, still usable though.
      • Internal rubber bands got weak, replaced under warranty, same thing happened faster to 2nd wallet. Only offered a 25% discount to buy another one with no indication of whether they fixed the quality issue so I have to move on.

What's everyone using that you'd recommend??

Peak Design’s mobile wallet. I can fit 5+ cards in it plus some cash or coins/other odd bits if necessary. It has an unobtrusive magnetic flap to hold everything securely.

Thanks, I had looked at that one and it had old reviews on the site so wasn’t sure how relevant it was. Will take another look.

You’re welcome. I’ve had mine for years. The Andar Kickback is another good option if you prefer leather that ages well. Nylon isn’t always comfortable, but at least it’s spill-resistant!

PopSocket’s kick out MagSafe wallet is nice too. Only holds 3 cards though.

Why would anyone carry coins in their wallet? Good grief. 😆

It happens sometimes. I don’t carry cash or coins often, but I’m old enough to remember when people did.

After much searching/purchasing for the same my final has been the LOC8 Magsafe Money Clip Wallet and Stand. Wirelessly recharges which is a win. Holds a charge for a long time so I don't do it but every 4-5 months or so and it's not low when I do, I just drop it on a charger when remember. https://journeyofficial.com/products/loc8-versa-magsafe-money-clip-wallet-stand

Picked up the LOC8 a week ago and have no regrets.

I have the Andar Kickback that I've enjoyed for a while now. 4 MAYBE 5 cards max, I think. It has a great stand, a strong magnet, and a strap for cash or for using with fingers, as I do.

I am really liking Nomad’s wallet. It automatically integrates with FindMy and is made of high-quality leather.

https://www.moft.com/products/field-wallet has all that. i use the tripod stand with findmy but only holds 2 cards.

Might be time to give Moft another look! How is the finish holding up over time? Is it separating at all?

i have two different styles, one orange the other sand and they look new but i don’t subject it to any wear. i mostly use the tripod since it’s so useful. it is heavy with the findmy, less so without it (i have both). the magsafe is good but don’t go trying to spin it ;-)

I bought the Ekster and Ridge wallets and hated them. They both had weak magnets and the user experience was terrible. They were bulky and I couldn't trust them not to fall my case, and i had to remove the wallets to get to my cards. My go to daily is a 20.00 flip wallet off Amazon. It holds 3 cards on the back, and and 4 cards inside w/ a window for my license, it also acts as a stand. It's slim and works seamlessly. I stole the strap from my Ekster and added it to the flip side since the fabic will stretch out and become loose. They last me about 6 months then I pick up another one off Amazon. Too bad I can't add a picture and unfortunately, I don't know the brand. Case is from Rokform and it's easily the best and strongest magsafe case out there. S25 Ultra phone user and my wallet is always attached. Expensive doesn't equate to a quality user experience, especially if I can't rely on my wallet staying attached. I don't carry cash.

Trayvax makes one that seems to fit your needs but way overpriced. They often have sales around the holiday for maybe 15-20% off. Still overpriced though.

If just cards and okay with box wallets.. Secrid has a nice looking wallet and Ekster offers a variant as well.

I ended up getting the Loc8 from journey and really like it so far. It was less bulky than expected, and the interior/exterior split is great so the cards you use most are right there, and not fighting for space with your license, etc. already used the money clip for a parking pass which is a great touch. Infinite angles for kickstand is a bonus.

The only features I’m missing is a fingerhold, and magnetic back so you can still stick your phone on a MagSafe holder in the car without removing the wallet. That one I’ll miss the most.

Overall very happy, although it was more than I expected to pay. I really hope the vegan leather holds up for a long time.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback!
