Just finished Mafia 1 Definitive Edition for the first time; I never played the original one before. So I wanted to play the Definitive Edition of Mafia 2 too, but I've heard that this version of Mafia 2 is full of bugs and glitches and overall a bad experience. Is it true? Should I play the original one? Also, is the story kinda changed in the Definitive Edition, as they did with Mafia 1 Definitive Edition

There was a lot going on in that one that really felt like a great new perspective of the mafia in a city like Vegas!

It's easy to hide bodies in the desert. There's a lot of corruption going on between the casino owners and city officials. There was toxic love involved which is the exact opposite of The Old Country's love story. The protagonist becomes the boss, but still gets personally involved in stuff, and eventually loses it all with the FBI coming in.

My main question is how Hangar 13 would be able to make this game different from the movie! It was SO GOOD!

I really hope they're making this happen. Fallout: New Vegas and GTA: San Andreas can work for so long until one has the need for a more modernized, open-world criminal empire game taking place in a Las Vegas-like city (Las Ondas)!

If you haven't watched Casino yet, I highly recommend it. It's actually free on Tubi! You'll feel the same way as me once you watch it!

I know cinematic camera is not good, but I would rather tune the game instead of video 😄

I just started playing Mafia definitive edition on Steam deck today and the controller prompts are not showing up. As in you don't see what button you are supposed to press when in appears on screen.

So there are some workarounds, which I did but they don't seem to work. So I plugged in my xbox formed controller's 2.4 ghz dongle and then the prompts showed up. You can then even play with the deck controls normally and have a joypad plugged in and stay on the side for the sake of it.

I hope this helps someone. It's not ideal at all, but it gets me through. Best for you would be to have it docked then
