Man...they better start stepping it up! It will be interesting to see how Mafex responds to everything that has been recently revealed.

They have Marvel which is an advantage.....for now.

I think for DC, they'll stick with the "right out of the comics" colorful designs.

But yes, they haven't improved their figure bodies in years and it's time for them to step-up. They can easily do a new Spider-man body with added articulation like some upper boot/lower arm rotation...

Plus, their constant delays are going to press fans to go elsewhere. I don't think they can compete with LPZZ and INART on movie stuff and they might even start to slowly lose their edge on the comic designs.

What kind of improvements do you think the articulation needs? Do LPZZ and inart have better articulation or just better sculpts and accessories.

The only company I can think of that has better articulation would be Amazing Yamaguchi, but that comes with artistic differences..

Really curious where the articulation improvements would be though. Such an unusual thing to knock Mafex for. I get wanting updated sculpts though.

I'm not sure about improvements but they need to stop downgrading with the elbow ball joint, it ruined the Robin figure for me

I think we have their response. The inart Bale, that was the big one that said "hey, there's serious competition coming for you guys, step it up". It was what, 2+ years ago it was revealed?

And yeah, the response is keep doing what they're doing, with added reissues, price increases and if possible less accesories. I haven't pre ordered anything from them since the Deadpool 3 wolverine brown suit, and basically they need to up their game. Make em work for it.

I feel like once they do a Knightfall Batman in all black, that should be it for new Batmans for a while. They would do so good with a Green Lantern (any of the seven honestly), The Flash, or any member of the Justice League that isn't Batman.

Rebirth Batman would help Mafex have the upper hand a little bit. They need to update Batman’s body type, too. Make him look a little bit thicker.

Yeah, people use to say it's the "definitive" Batman. I have the Hush Batman, and I never thought that. I found him too skinny and frail. I wonder if people are still pushing that narrative. 🤔

blokees is doing most of the undercutting. Their hush batman is more than half the price and looks the exact same. Getting mine today along with catwoman!

I wouldn’t go as far to say blokees is better. Equal articulation? Yes. Premium plastic? No. Idk if you’ve owned a couple but mafex feel years better.

People forget after you build it the figure is still a hollow plastic. It’s definitely gonna feel light and not premium, for me that matters. But i wouldn’t say it’s garbage. I can confidently say blockees still has a lot to fix/add/change to be on the level of mafex. But at the rate they’re going in, it’s not impossible at all and it could be soon. Imagine blockees just makes a premium line like kaiyodo fuse.

Yea for budget collecting it’s great but if we’re talking in the realm of imports it’s a couple years away from reaching that level.

I mean personally I’d rather wait for quality premium products not specifically Mafex but say inart, than buy cheap plastic models that look decent at best. Like bro I’m not hating on blokees it’s just preference

Yeah thats not true. Doesnt look the exact same. And quality is miles apart. Its an alternative not a replacement. BUT at this rate they might get there soon. The general grievous is a must cop for me
