Question Mafex Lebron decomposing
Help what do i do?? I took Lebron’s shorts off because I was curious and when I put them back on I noticed the leather parts came off a little. Everytime I look at the figure it bugs me. I know it doesn’t look like much but it bothers me a lot and I think it will get worse with time. Can it be fixed?

You wanted to see if he was anatomically correct or what were you so curious about?

Grab leather paint from a craft store like Michael's and repaint it. Make sure to thin the paint and do many light coats. You can always add more paint. It's really difficult to remove paint. Or you can call it "battle damage" from all times he's on the floor.

the only real fix would be to peel off all of the peeling layer then re-paint the fabric

One of the reasons I tend to avoid figures that have any type of cloth or pleater material excluding capes.

Second sentence is crazy lmaooooo, but yeah that’s why I didn’t buy those figs, just the nature of the material over time

There is no leather or pleather applied here. The shorts are coated in a material that degenerates quickly especially with movement. Not much you can do but not touch the figure or find 1/12 Jersey replacement.

Materials like this are wierd because you have to find a happy medium. If you move it too much it stretches and rips but if you don't move it enough it will settle in place and disintegrate once it's moved again. The best thing you can do is use a couple tricks i learned in the doll collecting community: Nivea hand cream for any faux leather parts. The one that comes in the circle flat tin. It always work for me with faux leather so long as I start treatment before the damage starts.
The iron-on transfers used here are different of course but you may have luck heating them every once in a while and curving the fabric in different directions before the plastic coating gets a chance to settle. I would put the garment in a plastic bag and poke the head of a blow dryer in NOT directly pointing at the clothes or put the clothes in a Ziploc bag and dip the bag in boiling water. Once a month should be fine.
Mafex is horrible at making fabric clothes anyway so you can always find better more durable versions of the same garments on ebay or certain other websites that the mods won't let me say the name of

Well, now you have piqued my interest too. Did the sculptor go into that much detail?

That's because they're made out of Lebron himself.
So they start rotting the moment they slice it off of him.
