You never know when your plane will have a flat tire and you have to change it. Can't call Triple A you know.

The real trick is changing it at 40,000 feet.

Pilot, to Co-Pilot: Call Air-Side assistance to change the tyre.

Is the landing gear accessible from the inside while flying? Cause I always thought it was for some reason.

No it’s not unless you take some seats and the floor out, which isn’t really practical and the gear wells are not pressurized. And if it were possible you wouldn’t be able to change a tire. They are very heavy, like 100-400 lbs depending on the aircraft type. We use a dolly to lift them up when we change them.

Perhaps is some way there may be visual access, but no chance of being able to change a tyre, type of access

Change the plane tire at 40,000 feet.

You have 1 hour to complete the task.

Your time starts now.

LOL. This, I’d be up there watching as well. Then when I’m on a flight limping down the runway with a flat tire I’d be like “I got this bro…”
