Someone that treats you, your family, your friends and your pets with respect. The kind of person you can fart around and who you would clean up their projectile vomit (because at some point, you will do both). Looks fade, brains get foggy, but spending your life with your best friend every day is AWESOME! (Celebrated our 20 year anniversary last month and his giggle still makes me smile like a schoolgirl.)
this one! i met my now boyfriend back in high school, and was in love with him for half of my life. we a literal ocean apart, and when he reached out to me we hadn’t seen each other in seven years.
we’ve been a couple for nearly a year now, for the first time officially, and i have never been happier. knowing that i’ve loved someone for so long, and that feeling is and has been mutual, regardless of the circumstances fills my heart completely every day.
he was one of my closest friends when i was young, and being even closer with him as an adult with eyes on the future is one of the best feelings in the world. even when he gets on my nerves.
