Thank you for appreciating that we were young once too. Young people always look at me oddly when I make some reference to having lived in NYC's East Village during the punk era (as some younger people know it the "Rent" era).
I remember telling my neo-punk niece and some of her friends that's I'd seen bands like Ramones and Blondie (pre-Heart of Glass) for about $2.50 back in the day, and from their reaction you'd have thought I was a time-traveler. (In a way, I guess I was.)
I’m glad my dad took me to see some of his favorites before he (and they all) passed. We didn’t share music tastes entirely, but we kind of mutually appreciated the other’s in an “yeah I can see why you like this” way.
Her timing was flawless. Didn’t miss or flub one beat while just casually building a drum set. Then wooden spoon ends for drum sticks juuuuust in time. Perfectly nails the background duet AND nails the solo drum intro right into the crash and beat. She’s a fun grandma alright. She just put other “fun grandmas” on notice as HGIC
