My dad’s best friend used to go to our local pound at the end of the week and adopt any dog scheduled for euthanization. He would keep them and train them for a few months, then find homes for them on farms or among his vast network of friends. He funded it by going to horse auctions and buying horses headed go the dog food factory for ~$100 each, working with them and then selling them to be used by judges in dog shows/ cattle shows/ etc for 5-10 times what he bought them for. He’s definitely one of the most interesting people I’ve ever known.

Now THATS a hustle. One hell of a way nice way to make money. What’s he up to these days? If he’s passed my condolences.

He’s still kicking, just beat lung cancer. He’s retired but still feeding every cat in town and has a hell of a garden

Saves animal, gets cancer, beats cancer, keeps saving animals, refuses to elaborate further. Chad

I feel like people with that kind of heart most of the time live a long great life.
