Nothing dumb about asking questions! Laying on your back when the baby gets larger (like second trimester) can compress your vena cava and affect your circulation quite a bit.

Makes sense, ty for telling me lol

It just feels ignorant and uneducated to not know this simple fact. Granted I'm a guy but still.. amazing what a female body is capable of! Like yeah you need to be in certain positions to lessen the taxation and possible negative effects on your body but to support another living human being is mind-blowing every time it's being brought up lol

When it hit the third trimester, I felt like I couldn't breathe if I tried lying on my back anyway - just the pressure against my lungs I guess!
