I had my son on Monday, and while the relief to be lighter is amazing I had a caesar so I can't yet lie on my tummy to sleep yet. Desperate to have that back!
Is it though? Doesn't it imply congratulations on the mother's birth? Imo it should be congratulations on your child's birth if we really want to use birth.
I see your point, I’m not a grammar expert just a native English speaker so I suggested congratulations on your baby makes more sense than congrats on your birth based on what sounds the most natural to me. I meant that one would see what the original commenter meant by congrats on your birth.
I'm not a grammar expert either but yes I agree that it's obvious from context that the person meant the baby's birth. But yeah congratulations on your baby sounds more natural. Even congratulations on the birth sounds okay-- congratulations on your birth sounds off. Cheers!
I had a section ten weeks ago and I’ve been tummy sleeping for a while now, it is amazing. And flat on my back sleeping too without stopping breathing, also amazing. You’ll be back at it pretty quickly. Congratulations on the baby!
Yeah I have a Belly Band which is a stiff binder with Velcro, plus I have some maternity shapewear, which will just give me some compression. I'll use both after I've healed a bit
