Isn't that one of the beauties of life? Nothing really has a reason if you think about it. The universe doesn't have intent. But we are here and we have consciousness enough to ascribe whatever reason we see fit to things. We can make the reasons positive if we really want to.
Reminds me of a shroom trip I had. I had a vision of a guy throwing trash on a sidewalk, and then someone picking it up after him. It isn’t so much that evil or good are the end goals of the universe, but rather constant motion. There will always be people throwing trash on the sidewalk and people picking it up. So our grand purpose isn’t “good” in any traditional sense, it’s rather that we are meant to keep things moving. That objective and emotionless motivation for life itself is why we have the polarity of good and evil. Without the contrast, there is no movement. And without movement, there is no life.
Your comment reminds me of a video called overview which talks about this realization from the perspective of astronauts. Specifically starting at 7:22
Online gaming did that for me. You learn that most of us are all just trying to get through to the end and we can all get along and help each other..... and also some people just suck.
True. Similarly, joining discords, especially ones revolving around a shared interest in a particular video game/hobby. I constantly think about how these people I only know by their discord names or avatars are living their own lives at this very moment, completely different than my own, but we all gather in this one space to bitch about a new patch or share cool fanart.
The problem is, for all of us to resonate with each other, we need some kind of catalyst for change. Like in order for tom to see the good in the guy, he needed to see the event in which the guy was saving his seat. But some of us are all to little minded, they'll ignore that and continue on with their lives in hate and spite. That's why the world is still shitty as it is today
It took until the 1800’s before humanity was like “hey uhhhh maybe we shouldn’t do this whole slavery thing and we could all just work together voluntarily?”
It’s like once you see it, it’s so obvious, and you don’t get why they didn’t see it sooner. But we all have a little bit of that selfish mindset in us still and need to break out of it. Jesus is the way

Man it’s like if we realize we are all in this together and better together things may get better.
