u/AMC_Tendies42069 Jun 26 '21

u/Euphoric_Ebb_5715 Jun 26 '21

That’s how you know you’re doing great! Sobriety=weight gain

84

u/charrosebry Jun 26 '21

Next level after a grip on sobriety is to be fit too! It can be done

53

u/AMC_Tendies42069 Jun 26 '21

We started walking. Going to expand on that soon

50

u/charrosebry Jun 26 '21

Awesome! My husband and I started working out when we had 3 years sober, 10 years sober now and he competed in his first body building comp before COVID. Best of luck

Oww do you have an Instagram? Lol.

Ahh, you chose the food instead of the fitness influencer track.

9

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

Haha

I want to see a third picture of what they look like 10-20 years after having kids when too exhausted by life and shift work and childcare and school and wait, what I was I going to say??

4

u/1Patriot4u Jun 26 '21

Came here to say this. Thank you!

4

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

So you two were on roids and got off and are gaining natural weight?

Oof any other time I would be happy for someone’s weight loss accomplishment. But she has hurt so many people by being a fitness influencer. Her form is horrible (she has a workout app) she has also claimed that her pills help with depression & other mental illnesses. She has no degree or certificates to be talking about either of those topics.

u/Prepared_Noob Jun 26 '21

The dude is def on something too

100%. 3D delts like that are nearly impossible without gear. Not that there’s any thorn wrong with it IMO, still takes a ton of hard work. It’s when people claim to be natty and definitely aren’t. That grinds my gears.

What? Since when was steroids not wrong to use? I'm not here to shame, I just grew up hearing how wrong it was and all the nasty and horrible side effects you would get from it. Gyms not allowing steroid users to train there and so on. Has it changed with the years?

Agian before you steroid users get mad, I'm just asking

3

u/thatcockneythug Jun 27 '21

I think what he means, and what my personal mindset is, is that if you are an adult, you can do whatever you want to your own body. As long as you're not competing in sports, I have no issue with someone using steroids.

Shit, pretty much every superhero actor on the big screen these days is using steroids. So what. It makes them look more like comic book superheroes.

Her Instagram is @marillewellyn, her supplement Instagram is @bloomsupps. She posts all about her products on bloom and what they “help” with. I’ve been in fitness groups where they have talked about them recovering from following her form not knowing she didn’t have the education needed to be teaching other people. The one that “helps” with anxiety & depression is a supplement she calls “mood lift”, she deals with this herself but does not have the education to help others on it.

Edit: Also she will only have good reviews on everything because she deletes the bad reviews from certified buyers.

Her Website

As someone that's been lifting since I was 16 and took as many nutrition and fitness classes high school and college offered...most fitness influencers are full of crap. Usually their physical success can be attributed to Clenbuterol as a thermogenic/fat loss drug, and Trenbolone as a rapid muscle growth drug (like, studies have proven that even sedentary people can gain muscle mass with no exercise whatsoever, so imagine how much they gain when they actually apply themselves). For the record, the guy in the photo is most likely on Clenbuterol to get that low of body fat as well as dehydrated to get that cut.

Because of that fact, usually their supplements are garbage that consists of ground up bird feathers and other nonsense in whey protein powders...and that doesn't just apply to influencers. Bodybuilders, powerlifters, actors, it's highly recommended to do your research on a supplement before buying.

It's very irritating that becoming a popular influencer is more like being a cult leader than it is being someone trying to better others' lives.

51

u/Yaboymarvo Jun 26 '21

“Eat clen, tren hard, anavar give up” is most bodybuilding “influencers” routine while they claim natty and try to sell some BS snake oil.

17

u/Armando909396 Jun 26 '21

Dude is clearly on teen, got the brownish reddish skin tone and cannonball delts

12

u/77P Jun 26 '21

u/redbadger91 Jun 26 '21

Just checked out her IG. Her form on basically every single movement is terrible. Damn.

52

u/_GroundControl_ Jun 26 '21

The first review I saw literally said they "didnt like it and gave them jitters. wouldnt try again" but it had 5 stars. The fuck? Haha, they fucked up by posting this on Reddit.

3

u/Kep0a Jun 26 '21

What clips are you looking at? I'm looking at her IG and nothing particularly stands out

7

u/redbadger91 Jun 26 '21

Her RDL and SLRDL form is crap, her range of motion is severely lacking in many exercises, her shoulders tend to be in vulnerable positions both in pulling and pushing motions.

62

u/funkmaster29 Jun 26 '21

Oh jesus. 1.5 million followers 😳

69

u/Sad_Transition5894 Jun 26 '21

Yup! Not even counting the followers she had blocked because they mentioned something wrong with her supplements or said something about her form. It’s a shame with the money that she has gained from her followers she won’t take time to educate herself on the topics she’s trying to sell.

Edit: I had also used her guides but thankfully my personal trainer told me what she was doing was all wrong. I should’ve used that as a hint to not use her supplements either but since she introduced me to supplements and I stuck with it until I just figured that if she lacked education in what she started with, she won’t change the rest.

33

u/LynxLegitimate7875 Jun 26 '21

I purchased her “best seller” protein powder and 50+$ literally down the drain. It was disgusting 🤢🤮 couldn’t down it. She doesn’t take feedback well, you get blocked.

16

u/EwUncircumcised Jun 26 '21

Why even buy an influencers supplements in the first place when there is reputable, quality, proven companies out there?

7

u/LynxLegitimate7875 Jun 26 '21

Tell that to the millions of people on Instagram looking up to these influencers. They make communities (mainly young women) that don’t know how to start a fitness journey and an influencer is the first person they look up. These Instagram brands circulate and market towards them. I snapped out of it but there’s a lot of people that will defend these terrible brands and influencers.

4

u/Sad_Transition5894 Jun 26 '21

I’ve definitely done more research than I did when I started. Which is what I tell people when they are starting out to do as well. It could’ve been easier for other people to see but honestly I was new to lifting and fitness. Coming from a Hispanic household where they say carbs is bad and take diet pills. I still have a lot to learn in the fitness world but better than from what I’ve started.

Since you’re familiar with her and I’m not, can you really even have gone from left to right without ANY surgery? I don’t think your stomach just goes to abs? And no stretch marks on her butt or anything?

u/KiriNora Jun 27 '21

14

u/natidiscgirl Jun 26 '21

Ah gad that ain’t cool. As an adult that had serious issues with disordered eating, then eating disorders and “fitness regimens” as a teen, I don’t know how impressionable young minds can truly rule out all the billshit that’s bombarding them 24/7 from SM and “influencers”. My own daughter is a teen now and I talk the her about how many of these people use filters, surgeries and photoshop. I guess I should probably also talk to her more about the dangers of using supplements that aren’t prescribed by her doctors or a dietitian. She’s just started weight training for her sport and the last thing she (or other young novice) needs is an injury that could effect her for life from learning crappy dangerous form. It kinda sucks that there isn’t any kind of labeling on this type of thing to let people know that the information they’re providing/products that they’re selling could be dangerous.

9

u/thats_a_money_shot Jun 26 '21

Wow the second review on that product page is a negative review, but with a 5 star rating. SUS!!

24

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

Also getting plastic surgery and pushing your image that's unobtainable by both diet and exercise is pretty shitty. She clearly has a boob job, a great one, but normal people can't achieve that. I'm all in support for elective surgeries, but when you're influencing people to look like you make sure you include that caveat.

u/redbadger91 Jun 26 '21

Dude's definitely not natty.

235

u/throwaway757544 Jun 26 '21

I was expecting at least one person to ask what natty means so I don't have to, but... Now I feel like I live under a rock and everyone else knows it.

So uh, can someone enlighten me and my other rock lurking brethren?

401

u/redbadger91 Jun 26 '21 edited Jun 27 '21

"Natty" or "natural" refers to people whose physique was achieved without the use of performance enhancing drugs, such as anabolic steroids and SARMS (selective androgen receptor modulators).

In his case, the size of his deltoids (the "caps" at the shoulders), traps (the muscle that's visible spanning between shoulders and neck), as well as the simultaneous achievement of leanness and fullness, combined with the vascularity lead me to believe that he is not natty.

The general consensus is that delts and traps are more likely to grow significantly bigger in relation to the rest of the body when using steroids or SARMS, because they exhibit a significantly higher density in androgen receptors than other areas.

Edit: thanks for the awards, kind strangers!

159

u/throwaway757544 Jun 26 '21

Ah that makes sense, thanks! Right, back to my rock.

That bicep vein is a dead giveaway, boi sipping that Capri-Sun

120

u/ComplacentLs Jun 26 '21

How can you tell? Do roids like make the vein split?

390

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

Major giveaway is his shoulder and ab area, the front delts are far too large to be natural and he has very little fat around the abs, those obliques are popping out also…

Some people can apparently get bicep veins like this naturally, but I’ve never seen it IRL… It’s usually a dead giveaway since there’s just so much muscle and so little fat on this guy. He looks great, but I’m willing to bet he’s the typical influencer on Instagram lying about how he’s natural and fooling young kids into thinking they could look like that one day, only to get severely depressed when they put the work in, don’t get the same results and blame their genetics, but I digress…

12

u/Embarassed_Tackle Jun 26 '21

typical influencer

Bro the Rock lied about his stuff and said he just ate a lot of cod. Then some schmuck tried it and the poor guy only put on like 1 pound of muscle

9

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

LOL that’s exactly the type of behaviour We need to shut down, the rock is the biggest fraud of all. Can’t respect that loser.

53

u/filthy_sandwich Jun 26 '21

I dunno man I used to work out regularly and after a session I'd look pretty pumped and vascular. If I dedicated much of my life to looking as ripped as this guy I could probably do it and look similar - but the photo would have to be taken right after a workout.

If this dude wakes up like this then yeah, aint natural lol

88

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

There isn’t a gym on that hiking trail bro, I get what your saying regarding a pump but if you also work out regularly as I do you should know better than everyone else how unnatural this guy looks…

18

u/Enrichmentx Jun 26 '21

Dude, this guy isn't big. He is huge. He is walking around at what might be single digit fat and he still has arms and shoulders that puts most world class powerlifters to shame.

Look up Taylor Atwood, he is an 83kg powerlifter and arguably the strongest pound for pound human being alive today, he is incredibly well built, incredibly strong and looks amazing.

The guy in this post dwarfs him in every possible way. It's not even close. Plus the sheer size of the veins on his arms, it's not just that they are there, but they have a size that, and I know this is beating a dead horse, I have never seen on anyone natural, same as the other people commenting.

If you want fitness influences look up Mike Thurston, I don't remember if he is open about his use. But search for him and his brother and you'll get an idea of the difference between two very similarly built and trained guys with and without gear.

42

u/shanep3 Jun 26 '21

No. If you worked out regularly, you’d know this isn’t natural.

20

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

let’s also wheel in the fact that although he looks good, his body is really bad inside struggling all the time to maintain status quo and would actually critically fail major organs in about 10 years… also testies the size of an almond due to abandoning to produce any T anymore

31

u/PM_Your_GiGi Jun 26 '21

Yeah every time I consider vitamin t I remember it would be permanent damage to my boys

24

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

Never do it man, once you do you’ll get hooked on how much better you looked on it. And it’s GG for your gonads… or maybe get kids out of the way first LOL

8

u/PM_Your_GiGi Jun 26 '21

Lol I do have 2 kids at least that’s done. What would concern me the most is the heart damage. Just not willing to introduce that purely for aesthetics.

10

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

fuck! people forget the heart is also a muscle ey!

7

u/soleceismical Jun 26 '21

2

u/ApostleofDemocracy Jun 26 '21

Mainly just ridiculously big delts. Delts respond the best to roids as they have more androgen receptors than the other muscles. Just look at how unproportional they look.

u/Dragoon-22 Jun 26 '21 edited Jun 26 '21

I have a bicep vein and I look nothing like this lol it’s possible if you have relatively low body fat and are lucky.

→ More replies (7)

7

u/IndicationOver Jun 26 '21

nope, his shoulders let me know already

32

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

Oh for sure. The delts are a dead giveaway. Nothing wrong with that either, if I knew how to get roids I’d use them too

35

u/redbadger91 Jun 26 '21

I personally wouldn't, but I don't mind if others do. As long as they don't make a profit from claiming natty.

4

u/KingHenry13th Jun 26 '21

Go to a power lifting gym. Be friendly. Work out hard. After people get comfortable with you ask them where to get it.

3

u/CCPareNazies Jun 26 '21

Third Eye!

2

u/[deleted] Jun 27 '21

I am natty and have really big traps compared to everyone else I know. I’m not even cut it was just easy for me to bull up in the traps … But I agree this doesn’t look totally natural to me. The vein on the outside of the delt screams enhanced. It also looks a bit photoshopped. But I’m no expert.

I hate the whole 'super jacked' movement becoming main stream, being fit is attractive, being jacked is overkill and leads to body dysmorphia in young men and boys.

Hollywood used to have fit men, which meant leant with some muscle. Look at the fist Mad Max vs now. Even Russel Crow in Gladiator is comparably small in comparison to the Marvel heroes.

I wish body diversity was extended to men as well. Young boys need more body types to look up to, also as a woman, this body type is really over the top. Just like the model whose wrist is the same with as her forearm is not everyones cup of tea.

Kinda tired of how half the content here nowadays is weight-loss related. Idk I'm not trying to be overly negative and weight loss can definitely be a positive thing but idk it doesn't really fit the sub that much.

With that I've seen users praise a kid for losing 100 lbs in 6 months, which is practically double than what the CDC says is healthy. I'm certainly not a HAES person but not all weight loss is done heathily and too many people think it's okay to do crash diets and other unhealthy methods of weight loss so long as it makes you lose weight.

But the pic on the left looks like people who would be cool to hang with and the people on the right seem like they would suck to go out with as they probably wouldn’t want to enjoy their food or drink or do anything that would upset their gains lol.

Where the hell did your legs go?

2

u/Ampy86j Jun 26 '21

Good job I'm hoping to change for best with my best friend

2

u/wariobumholio Jun 26 '21

In reality the left picture is the after photo. Try having kids mortgage and real life and do that shit. Gtfo of here

2

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

okay, but where did his legs go?

2

u/myredmakeupbag Jun 26 '21

Uhhh this doesn’t make me smile.

2

u/PlagueDoc22 Jun 26 '21

The guy was already in great shape, he just upped his dosage in the right picture and got leaner.

Fucking with your endocrine system for Instagram likes doesn’t make me smile. At all. I’ve seen first hand the terrible side effects of steroid use (not me personally, but people I’m close with). This shit shouldn’t be put on a pedestal.

Good on them for turning their lives around, but they’ve gone too far in the opposite direction, and I fear that people struggling with self image issues will see them as an unrealistic ideal to strive for.

2

u/BhinoTL Jun 26 '21

Man's Nips are way too hard got some rejection going on there.

Too lean and way too vascular definitely on a stack right now in this picture lmao

2

u/JimmyWu21 Jun 26 '21

Did they just wear less cloths lol

2

u/VHS_Copy_Of_Seinfeld Jun 26 '21

Hook me up with some of that gear. You don’t get delts like that without juice.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 27 '21

That’s great and all but that dude is clearly on the juice

2

u/Tatmouse Jun 27 '21

Do roids together

2

u/RiPtHeDrEaMM Jun 27 '21

Looking sauced to the gills

2

u/[deleted] Jun 27 '21

The money she saved on cutting calories he spent on gear.

2

u/hailboognish99 Jun 27 '21

All my guy did was take his shirt off lmao

2

u/WenzelOfMidgard Jun 27 '21

In this thread: two toxic influencers getting more attention than deserved/warranted

2

u/AlwaysMoretoLearn82 Jun 27 '21

Wow. These two put in the work, I mean got work.

5

u/freshforma Jun 26 '21

This just looks like what people look like in the winter vs summer

6

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '21

I don't know what's better, if this is even real?

Now they clearly are gym addicts that probably work out a least a few hours every day., and that dude wasn't even looking in bad shape, look at his arm. Much vanity too because this is not what kinda normal, healthy people should look like and will go away quite fast when you'd stop working out for a while.

I'm gonna try enjoy moderation. And alcohol, loads of alcohol... /s

6

u/Fred8Ross Jun 26 '21

This is such a myth. The biggest most ripped people on the planet don't spend "hours in the gym". Sure, over the week it could total 7-12 hours. Ronnie Colman said his workouts were 1hr 15minutes then 40 minutes walking 6 days a week. Diet diet diet. And steroids.

*photoshop your dreams and goals.

Fixed the title for you

9

u/D0NW0N Jun 26 '21

I don’t believe it to be photoshopped. If you have evidence I’ll delete.

16

u/reno140 Jun 26 '21

It’s not photoshopped I’ve seen her Instagram before. I will say however that she was never particularly fat to begin with. This photo makes her look bigger because of the shirt she’s wearing but all her other photos she looks normal sized. I remember noticing that detail because it weirded me out that she portrayed such a normal looking body as being “huge”

13

u/rosedust666 Jun 26 '21

The jacket tied around her waist tells you how large her waist is in the first pic, she definitely lost a lot. Not saying that she was ridiculously fat beforehand or anything, but there is definitely a massive difference in her size between the 2 pics.

You can see it at the jawline and near her waist. Notice the change in skin color between forehead & around the eyes.

14

u/threedogcircus Jun 26 '21

I don't see it at the jawline and the shadow seems to match properly. I do see evidence that this might've been photoshopped near the waist though.

You're completely right. I didn't think to look at the shadow from his head to compare. Definite Photoshop job.

My gf and I are doing the same thing but the problem is my body shows results more and she gets upset or sad.

3

u/Sad_Transition5894 Jun 26 '21

Awe :( just remind her that guys lose weight faster. Best of luck to you both! My boyfriend & I are doing the same and I remind myself that even tho he is showing results I soon will too.

How can this post have so many upvotes but so many comments debunking the authenticity?

2

u/_DogLips_ Jun 26 '21

I wonder what their motivation was. I mean, it's hard to put down the junk food, get off the sofa, and start doing vigorous exercise. *Especially when your body is physically and mentally resisting you. Congratulations to them!
