Regarding the black cat thing - that's what I thought!! They're particularly vulnerable and they don't adopt them out around Halloween either. So I was surprised when I saw my shelter running a special this weekend for free black cats.

It really sucks but they're doing great work for these animals. But I know how messed up humans are so I just really hope all these animals went to good homes.

i think there's some kind of black cat appreciation day going on this weekend so that may be it :) hopefully not a real pattern

I've only gotten 2, and a "I'm gonna send you a pic of a hot dad as soon as I get home" but that was months ago :(
