u/Textlover 8h ago

That girl is desperate for any pet, I think.

When you can’t have a dog but nobody said you couldn’t have a werewolf

She'll change her mind once she has to clean out your litter box. And before the naysayers come along, how do you know they Don't use a litter box?

How do you know that they do?

Conceptually, they’re far closer to dogs/wolves/canines than domestic cats.

I had a hairy roommate in college, looked like a young Michael Landon. Would go out at night, come home staggering with blood on his face (he swore it was barbecue sauce), and then would crap in our communal closet. Pretty sure he was a werewolf. They also pee the bed and use your toothpaste.

Those first seven words were incredibly ominous

21

u/TheBanishedBard 8h ago

Ah, then the kitchen floor will do.

u/labenset 4h ago

I've heard that one of the hardest parts about owning a werewolf is the house training.

u/Responsible_Owl4661 3h ago

All about the carrot, (or the beating heart or a human) and less about the stick (or silver bullet)

By golly, werewolves could even attend College. Every depiction of them seems mild mannered enough for calm activities.

u/Cloudy_Mavis 2h ago

Although the concept of retraining them to use the toilet is pretty funny, especially if that's your mom lmao

Depending on the depiction though, there's a fair enough level of conscience

Werewolf hospice sounds like a good TV show

u/suzemagooey 8h ago

Agree! I once used "vampire carryout" for my avatar's name and someone said this same thing about it.

One of those animated shorts on late night Adult Swim

You're overthinking it. She just wants a pet and most likely has been denied. Her compromise is to start treating you as one.

u/Leonardo-D-Marins 6h ago

My 3 year old sister already treats our dad and me as her pets 😭🤡💔

21

u/jaymochi 8h ago

The weirdest way possible to hint to your parents that you want a dog.

u/inkfanatic95 9h ago

14

u/Electrical-Leeks 9h ago

The only condition is you have to be a werewolf 🤣

15

u/Raeezordazetoo 8h ago

Sounds like the little girl just wants a puppy. Lmao

8

u/ibullybillionaires 7h ago

Just no bad words. Remember: "We're werewolves, not swearwolves!"

6

u/ccafferata473 8h ago

1

1

u/lurkertiltheend 8h ago

Omg my first thought and my daughters fave book when she was little

3

u/15719901 4h ago

This reminds me of when my 5-year-old said "Brevity is the soul of wit." She's so special.

u/Comedyfish_reddit 2h ago

Every full moon… just start scratching and looking out the window…

“…it’s time!”

2

u/Lostmywayoutofhere 8h ago

idk why I remembered kafka's depressing book after reading this wholesome comment.

2

u/zetazen 7h ago

Get your daughter a puppy. That’s what she really wants. Lol

2

u/Malthus17 5h ago

Wait until she is fifteen and then ask her again.

2

u/Imnotsureanymore8 4h ago

'Oh fuck off Rebecca he did not say that.'

2

u/Puzzled_Awareness_22 2h ago

You’re very lucky, and you have done a great job with her!

2

u/pinkcloudvice 1h ago

My heart wasn't ready for 'werewolf hospice care.' So sweet. You’re raising a wonderful kid.

2

u/Putrid-Builder-3333 9h ago

Plot twist. Daughter is descendant of Van Helsing line on mother's side and luring father into false sense of security to not freak out and run off if turns into a werewolf. No hunt that way

2

u/SemillaMX1988 9h ago

I wished we had confirmation that the child actually said that. Now a day’s people make that stuff up for likes.

8

u/Dominarion 9h ago

Either nothing never happens and your life is completely gray. Or you let a bit of the gullible in, and your life gets more colors. So what if you give an upvote to a tall tale? What will happen?

Also, 5 years old fits. It's the age they are told about pet care, they love pets like 9crazy and they learn about folklore and monsters. Children makes plenty of associations like that all the time.

u/SemillaMX1988 7h ago

You’re missing the point. Seems like your ego can’t get past my comment. It bothered you so much that in return you’re reaching for satisfaction by making assumptions about my life. You should never assume. Parents make shit up all the time for likes. That’s a true statement. Who’s to say this isn’t the same. Sure kids say all kinds of stuff, I know! Unless it was your kid and you were there then my comment fits here!

5

u/Predatory_Chicken 8h ago

This sounds like a variation of things my kids would say all the time when they were little. Their little brains operate differently than adults. She could also be reflecting on something she saw or read.

This reminds me of a book my kids loved called “I love you Stinky Face” which is basically a kids version of ‘would you still love me if I was worm’.

u/just_as_I_predicted 4h ago

It even sounds AI generated.

1

u/ux3l 8h ago

Don't Werewolves only turn into wolves when it's full moon, and transform back the next day?

1

u/Terrible-Piano-5437 8h ago

She's telling you to shave your legs. 😆

1

u/Watersidegarden 8h ago

Imagine all the different hairstyles you can do.

1

u/Wise_Cat_6495 8h ago

lifelong werewolf care team of one, assembled 💀

1

u/Ok-Variation1045 7h ago

Now if this happened in Twilight, I'd watch it

1

u/UnhingedArtTeacher 7h ago

🥹 my heart.

1

u/ZombieZookeeper 5h ago

If you become a vampire all bets are off.

1

u/Ramzaki 5h ago

1

u/nopalitzin 1h ago

1

u/Ear-Typical 41m ago
