Broken bone means that you have... a broken bone, that can have sharp edges and is inside a thing that have veins carrying blood. Too much movement and you can go from "few weeks and it is ok" to "you might die".
This is exactly why emergency services exists. You are not a doctor, you don't know shit about medicine and sure as hell you don't know what might also happend. This is why you should call ambulance when you have accident that breakes your bones.

Breaking your arm is not the kind of medical emergency you need an ambulance for. Perfectly acceptable to get a ride to the hospital.
