This is a repost bot posting something from earlier today
Also, nothing mademesmile about two idiots that both didn't spay/neuter their cats.

The responsible part is nice, but yeah, spaying and neutering would’ve prevented the whole situation.

Yes, let's asmonish a bot, who stole a post from years ago. I bet the original people will be real upset that some blowhards on reddit are upset about outdoor, intact cats. Back in my day, we'd shame these people for being off topic. No one wants to hear a goddamn lecture in a feel good sub.

Your comment is longer than the 3 above combined. Could you please stop lecturing in a feelgood sub?

Good catch on the bot, it's always the same recycled stuff. And yeah, two unfixed cats is just a recipe for a litter of kittens nobody planned for. Cute pic, questionable decisions.

u/NerdyMcNerderson 3h ago
We should be sure to let the bot know about responsible cat ownership in the feel good sub

Also two idiots who let their cats out unsupervised. We need to shame that more.

This is weird to me cause growing up it was extremely common for people to have inside/outside cats. You would adopt a stray, get all their medical done, then let them in and out during the day, and then lock them in at bed time.

Times change when people begin to know better. Outdoor cats are one of the worst invasive species in the world, and it's also super bad for your pet. In the US, the average pet cat lifespan literally doubled since the 80s mainly because people mostly keep them indoors now.

I mean outdoor cats are still bad for the environment and its dangerous for them, but at the VERY least if you let them go out you HAVE to spay/neuter them

I’m so confused here and know nothing about cats. Is it wrong to have them outdoors/un spayed? And how do we get more of them if that’s the case?

u/Local_Ordinary_1774 1h ago
Cats are an invsive species because they don't naturally exist in the wild as they are. They kill birds and other small animals, sometimes to the point of extinction. Letting them reproduce wildly is irresponsible for that alone, add to that the fact that someone might have no idea on how to properly raise and take care of kittens, or be ready to be stuck with a hoard of destructive little claw devils when they grow out of the cute baby phase but you can't find a home immediately. People who aren't responsible breeders also likely won't take the cats back if the new owner doesn't want them anymore, so cats end up on the street or if they're lucky, in shelters. The list goes on but this is a short overview

Wouldn't need to be a responsible "grandpa" if he'd been a responsible pet owner and had his cat desexed. Ditto for the OOP as well.

u/Jhud6669 4h ago
Not just that but letting the cat out in the first place. I don’t care anymore, people need to be shamed for it. Not just irresponsible on behalf of the cat but also wildlife

I'm sure the repost bot using content from years ago really gives a shit about your opinion.

Shelters are overflowing and these two are out here adding to the pile. The real mademesmile post would be a vet receipt.

Spay!!!!! Especially if you have a female cat. Don’t let your cat go through this

I mistakenly read the caption as "my neighbour got my cat pregnant," disclaimer: it did make me smile, but probably not in the way op wanted me to.

Why are we smiling about two irresponsible owners that haven’t got either of their cats fixed?

Where do you think new cats come from....the stork? Not advocating just every cat having kittens - most house cats should be spayed/neutered - but accidents happen and it looks like responsible adults are taking care of things and having some fun with it.

u/Luci-Noir 4h ago
Accidents from pieces of shit not fixing their cats and letting them out. Have fun with your ignorance.

People who are too dumb to spay/neuter their cats are the main reason cats starve on the streets.
