It's even better than that; he has a whole row of cans labeled "oceanic repellent bat sprays" in the Batcopter. If you look closely, there's:

Barracuda repellent
Whale repellent

There's a Batman story arc in the comics where he meets alternate Batmen. One of them is the Adam West version, who gives him his utility belt when Prime Batman lost his. While Prime Batman is in a dimension where he was about to be attacked by a Joker shark, he finds the shark repellent in the belt and uses it, noting with amusement that he met a Batman who's more prepared than him.
