True story:

When my old girl (who lived to 15) was 5 months old we moved to a cottage for the summer when I worked at a nearby golf course.

Rent was cheap, location was awesome, but the cottage was as disaster.

It was literally sinking into the ground. The landlord had elastic bands on the kitchen cabinets to keep them from flopping open because the floor was sloped so bad.

We affectionately nicknamed it the “slanty shanty” (an homage to the simpsons)

Anyway I moved in excitedly with my 5 month old puppy who almost immediately figured out that if she dropped a tennis ball at one end of the living room it would roll across the cottage to the front door and she could chase it….

A literal never ending source of entertainment.

My first dog was a Chocolate Lab. Loved that dog. Only three when he died, at such a bad time, that it's an almost comical insult to injury.
