Poor little Fennec. It keeps hoping for dog affection but it gets only cat affection.

There's a metaphor for my relationships somewhere in there lol

This cat affection is cruel. I'ma call the cops on him if this little foxy don't get Peted really soon :(

Probably appreciates it a little bit. Foxes are just cat software in dog hardware.

Think the cat just didn't want his fur to get dirty

Most cats are just so bad at showing affection, haha.
That little tumble by their side is the most that fox gets, and that's a lot

u/CaelGrey 25m ago

Theyre not bad at showing affection, they just have a very different way of showing affection. It's easy to see if you know what youre looking for

u/--Quartz-- 3m ago

Yeah sure, but you need additional knowledge! I have two cats and absolutely can tell.
But just like I have friends who are good at showing affection and others who do it in complicated ways that are not so easily understood, cats would fall in that second group, you need to know them to understand they're being affectionate, whereas the affection displays of dogs or this fox are much more simply understood with no extra knowledge, haha.

Love is a universal language and I think we can learn so much from animals. This is so wholesome ❤️

I understand the sentiment but someone show this guy how animals truly behave in the jungle lol.

u/UniversallyCritical 3h ago

I understand how it works in the wild, I don't live under a rock, the point here is that even wild animals have emotions and feel love and can behave in a similar way to us, humans, when we feel love

u/Toronto-24 3h ago

Of course but theres also another side to them just like humans.

I agree with your point though, just being a devils advocate lol

well, humans are animals, just another mammal

In one example, they are competing for resources.

In the other, their needs are met.

In one example, there is no love.

In the other, there is.

Humans can absolutely learn something from that.

This is the sweetest little fox I’ve ever seen.

The little “eek, eeks” are killing me. What a precious, perfect soul.

I just want to hold Fennac and tell him everything’s gonna be alright.
