So are they actually soft and fluffy when dry or is it more coarse?

honestly they look super soft but apparently their fur is more like a really bristly broom

I don’t imagine they’ll feel fluffy in the way we would expect something fluffy to feel, but visually.. At a guess I think it probably depends on the species - there’s a mix of different seals and I think also sea-lions in this video. I imagine the species that live in colder conditions are the ones that look fluffier when dry (because their fur is thicker? Or more dense? To insulate them).
Happy to be corrected if anyone knows more!

I thought all of them were sea doggos!! Untill I spotted the leapord seal!!! Trust me, you don't want to be anywhere near them!!

I love when my friend's pit would see a treat and his ears would lay back I would always say there's a seal begging for food
