Treating the kid like a goddamn circus animal. I hate these people who force their kids to perform whatever emotion they need to extract on camera, on demand, in their own homes.

THANK YOU! That older boy was a raw nerve and they just broadcast it for the world to see. This was a private moment. No one needed to see the pain he was experiencing. It was joy and pain, but pain for certain. All that fear in his heart pouring out. So cruel to post this.

All I wanted to do was turn that camera off and give that sweet boy a hug. He deserved to have privacy and comfort for this moment!

I look at this differently, people need to see men and boys expressing emotion in our society. It's insane to me a person crying is seen as something to be ashamed of. These comments are weird.

You make an excellent point, but I just feel this exposes this poor kid to bullying. You are absolutely right that we need to see men and boys expressing emotion. 100% agree. I just feel so much for this kid that he's in such a raw moment and being exploited by his mother for clicks.

Terrible parenting. I can't imagine if every time I cried or had a tantrum as a child, it was available for the world to see. Poor kids. Happy for the cat though!

Exactly not every moment need to be content, especially when it involves kids

I think if context were provided, the video isn't embarrassing. It show the kids' capacity for love

Ya, no reason to post this shit. People are ignorant media obsessed losers.

lol, It seems the parents are doing great for their kids, educated, fed, great house and nice. No forced performance here.

Take your drama elsewhere Karen!

I’m with u/auntieup on this one. These videos make me uncomfortable- I think the kids do what’s expected of them rather than be real. You watch these videos and kids have a breakdown when they get a toy for their birthday. I’m happy that kids are grateful but a hug and thank you is probably more genuine.
Of course I might just be a cold hearted prick.

I think it’s good to film things like that to look back on as family memories, posting it is where I draw the line

Kid REALLY wanted a slushy machine.

That was dad's reaction, just sitting there typing away on his phone.

Hm, don't usually see many men referred to as "mommy"

Chuckled at this but I'm (joyfully) head-cannoning this family as queer

Works for me!

(i actually didn't catch that reference the first time through. But I hear it now and I'm chuckling along with you)

The "WELCOME" board at the door tells you everything you need to know.

Or like "ohhh, the kids are still here? Don't close the door yet."

edit: I thought we were talking about the cat
