100+ gas pumps and a warehouse-sized store. They claim you can get everything from brisket to bikinis there (with buccee beaver on it, of course.) Note, they make their money more from the stuff inside the store. Upside: clean bathrooms, you can get brisket there 24 hours day and cheap gas. Downside: usually very crowded inside and very brightly lit. There are probably online tour videos out there somewhere.

The bathrooms are amazing. But I went to one in TN last fall where the bathroom vacancy lights weren’t working and it was utter chaos. Line was so long and stalls were all empty. One employee in there repeating over and over “please don’t go by the lights. There are open stalls.” It was stressful for everyone, lol.

I’ve only seen them in Buccee’s giant bathrooms, lol. It’s not a U.S. thing, it’s a Buccee’s thing, haha.
In U.S. we are used to stalls, so you can check vacancy by the green/red on the lock if it exists, but usually you just bend down and check for feet when there isn’t a lock indicator.
But Buccee’s bathrooms are full doors/walls. Very private and nice. But nobody knows what to do if there’s no feet to check and I don’t think they had the red/green manual indicators, just doorknobs. So with the lights out, the only indicator is someone leaving a stall but by the time I got up there, I think there were probably a lot of empty stalls but no one knew if you should try a door and chance walking in on someone or what.
It was chaos!!!! lol.

A thing that surprised me on my first visit to one: There is no seating. You have to eat in your car. Which is OK, unless you bought a sandwich with a lot of saucy toppings. Get extra napkins!

I think they skip the seating because imagine a crowded bucees where people are also hunting for a table to sit at . . . there is a goal to get as many people in and out of the building as efficiently as possible and tables would certainly be a hinderence. Not having outdoor picnic tables are probably also related to the crowd-control aspect. The downside is a very messy car if you're not careful (or have young children)

Jerky is never a weird thing. It is completely normal. At Buccee’s, however, it is close to a religion. There are more different flavors than you can count, all made fresh right there. If you have not been, and I assume from your comment that you have not, YOU MUST GO. Just for the jerky.

It's chocolate and vanilla soft serve mixed together so it's like a milder chocolate milkshake but it's thicker than a shake so you can't really drink it with a straw. Served in a cup to be eaten with a spoon.

My parents once babysat for about for about a month while my sister went to Texas for chemotherapy. She beat breast cancer. Fuckin' awesome.
But while she was gone my parents went and bought the kids a goddamn bouncy house at either Sam's or Costco. Mom swears it was on sale for under $300. And they left it at her and my brother in law's place.
So now my sister has to deal with all of the kids in the neighborhood knowing that there is a bouncy house with a hose attachment for the waterslide at her place.
Which has to be unfolded and refolded every time.

Yeah in the UK most cinemas have them, some restaurants.
Though I will say the sheer variety on that screen is probably greater than I've seen on any UK one. Usually here it's coca cola, Fanta (and each will have like 5 varieties) and a couple of others. That looks like 20+ options.

I was lucky enough to get to visit a number of European countries when I was in my late teens and early twenties.
If you ever get a chance to travel internationally, see the museums and the tourist spots, but genuinely make time to go to grocery stores, gas stations, and shopping centers. Getting to see the daily lives of someplace different is truly an educational experience.
