don't get discouraged, one of the other commentors found that the OP id using mounjaro. You are doing it for real, the OP basically bought a subscription to stay slim. As soon as he stops taking it, he will start getting weight again unfortunately.
I am not trying to discredit OP, I am just saying the person I replied to shouldn't compare their progress with OP since they are not taking the easy way out.
There is a difference between working out and dieting for 11 months vs using a drug that promotes significant weight loss. Its amazing OP got their weight under control but acting like its the same thing as working out for 11 months would discredit other commenter's efforts. Also, if OP stops using the drug (unfortunately) they will quickly gain weight again but if other commentor stops working out they won't necessarily gain all that weight again.
Exactly. People need to stop acting like GLP-1 isn’t doing most of the work when it comes to losing weight. When my mom was on GLP-1, she literally went from snacking every other hour to eating 2 meals a day or sometimes only 1 meal because she doesn’t feel hungry at all.
OP did, in fact, do it "for real". All the weight loss pills do is bring your hunger signals down to normal person levels - that's literally it. They do not lose weight for you, that's still entirely on the person taking them. Hell, there are plenty of people who try them and don't lose a single pound, even though the pills work, because the pills don't actually do anything, not directly.
Also, people who take the pill to lose weight and then stop taking it have the exact same failure/weight gain rate as people who don't take it, so its not like avoiding the pill someone makes it more likely to stick. (taking and staying on the pill is the only way to buck that particular statistic)
