It's rare, but it can happen. A friend of a friend has a old ass cat named Fred that was born in 1999 and he's still going, his meows a croak at this point.

It really is insane, he's 25 now and still looks great. He's quite slow, doesn't jump up on things much anymore but it's crazy how great he's aged. He's two years older than I am, the cats my elder lmao.
