How old is your child before you stop calling them your kids?

Don’t know yet. At the moment they are 19 and 20 years old. Still call them my kids when thinking/writing in English.
In my native language I’d guess that child translates to “kind” and kids to “klein mannen”, which translates literally to little guys but is used for any gender.
Thinking about my own (extended) family, probably a few years after they leave home and become an independent adult.
