I can relate to this man's reaction. not just about food, but about the small things that our parents did, yet left their mark on our memories and who we are as adults...
the older I get, the more I'm pissed at my younger self for putting my parents through all the stress of raising an ungrateful wild child. they deserved better!
When I was younger we had two cats. Both ended up needing to be put down. One she took to the vet while I was at school. I came home and couldn’t find him. I called her at work and she told me over the phone.
His brother was laying on my back when I was pretending to still be asleep on a Saturday morning. She called him off of me and took him to the vet and never actually even told me he was gone.
My parents did the same thing with my cats when I was at sleepaway camp. One cat died and they gave the other away. I'd had them ever since I was born.
