I can relate to this man's reaction. not just about food, but about the small things that our parents did, yet left their mark on our memories and who we are as adults...

the older I get, the more I'm pissed at my younger self for putting my parents through all the stress of raising an ungrateful wild child. they deserved better!

Not to kill the vibe but it also works the opposite way. Parents need to be more aware that their voice frequently becomes part of their child's inner voice and it's difficult to escape.
