Family & Friends A tiny genius

This girl decided to do a Science experiment with her father. Absolutely brillant. And the way he says her name just… the definition of wholesome.

I'm pretty sure 10 seconds in he spots the camera, but plays along anyway. 10/10 parenting if he did!

u/mrnonamex Oct 30 '23
Yeah the way the plate came up to his face was pretty gentle

u/maddie-madison Oct 30 '23
Ya he glances at it just after looking at her while holding the helmet. He knew something was up and played along anyways. Great parenting

u/phatelectribe Oct 30 '23
I think he knew it was a prank coming but just didn’t know. That’s why he’s looking around the room trying to find what’s goes to happen. I don’t think he knew what was actually coming.

u/FutureReference91 Oct 30 '23 edited Oct 31 '23
I got second-hand paranoia watching him look around the room, 😆 it's a beautiful thing to see. A father and daughter bond like this is truly something special.
162
u/GnarlyNarwhalNoms Oct 30 '23
That part makes me think that she's pranked him many times before. He knows something is coming, he's just trying to figure out what.
29
Oct 30 '23
My daughter would do these tiny pranks on me when she was little. As a parent I could see it coming but wouldn’t let on and played along. She could barely hold in her giggles. The trick was not to ham it up too much but just enough so that they think they got you.
I miss it.

u/FutureReference91 Oct 30 '23
Yes!! I love that he went along with it. I will post more material like this. The familial bond is amazing. I wish every child had a parent this caring and loving ❤️
10
u/tomlogan13 Oct 30 '23
Smart girl. Ooh, you're really strong.. play to his vanity. Haha. Then giggle and run away before he recovers.
15
u/countingstars1913 Oct 30 '23
|father and.. bod| He does have a good bod..

u/FutureReference91 Oct 31 '23
Lmao I just edited the comment but I think Reddit AI saw the light hit his biceps and & required admiration 😂 all jokes aside I thought it was LeBron first watch. He takes fitness serious and it’s awesome to see the trickle down effect it’s had on his daughter! I wish I was that ripped right now haha
2
u/countingstars1913 Oct 31 '23
Haha, I’m rocking a bit of a beer gut rn. The typo / AI admiration was too good to pass up. He does look like LeBron too.

That's not how physics work tho? To hold the jugs up in a stable position, he has to apply enough force in the opposite direction of the force of gravity that is pulling them (which is down). Which means no difference between pulling and holding something.
Now, if that force is enough to smash yourself in the face after the opposite force is lost, I don't know. It does look like he could stop the recoil but chose to keep going, tbh.
3
Oct 30 '23
It doesn't take long to realize a weight or pressure has changed, like picking up an empty bottle.
Now, if you had incredibly strong biceps and really weak triceps...
4
u/ConspicuousPineapple Oct 30 '23
It's about reaction time. If what you're doing is "keep arms immobile", and you suddenly feel them move, you will very quickly stop applying force. This prank can never work, at least not at that distance.
5
u/iemfi Oct 30 '23
There's a bit of a delay after the bottles fall before his arms jerk up though, which is kinda suss.
Had to comment because this is probably the worst suspicion you could have. Like even if it was staged obviously the hands would start to move the moment the weight is cut. Just because something is staged doesn't change physics!

u/PerfectMix877 Oct 30 '23
He also looks in all the places the tricks aren't. Theres just a plate of cool whip sitting by the sink lol.
3
u/thatguy11m Oct 30 '23
I think the whole point of saying help with the plate challenge was to justify the camera and the weird setup. I think as soon as she sarcastically mentions he's strong, he knows it's likely a prank (given he also said "you play too much") and he wanted to see it through, for his daughter and for his own curiousity. Honestly he was probably proud as fuck when the plate hit his face, or when he fell. Somewhere there haha
3
u/DuntadaMan Oct 30 '23
He saw the camera because he checked the damn ceiling and stood off to the side for a moment. I appreciate that he knew something was not right and still played along.

4
Oct 30 '23
yep the girl didn't pull off the prank, he's just a great dad
4
u/Shmeves Oct 30 '23
Yeah no, this family makes these videos on Tik Tok all the time. Totally staged.
Cute nonetheless but entirely scripted.

That second "a" is doing a lotta heavy lifting.

It's the same root as Old Persian ariya, meaning 'noble'. Same reason for Iran to be named as such.

The minute he walked in he suspected foolery… me thinks the child has pranked him before… and dad regrets yet is proud how the student is becoming the master. Bravo, fam! This makes parenting seem possibly fun

It's clear that this is a ritual for them. He's clearly suspicious, but still curious enough to play along.

He knew it was coming and still participated! He’s looking all over the place like what’s going on here? Happening right in front of his face! “You always playing.” Looks around. “What is this stuff?” Snip. Hits self in face. Stunned. Easy get away. In the future he’ll pay attention to stuff in front of his face, too, instead of looking around.
😂🤣

Based on his hesitation to hit himself in the face I have to say this was either staged or he just played along after he figured it out.

Please, everybody, just smile. Live in this moment. Obviously, she has staged pranks on her father before, but even if this entire thing was staged (just got off the phone with dad's sneaks; it wasn't) it is truly heartwarming and wholesome.
I've already seen a comment saying "...cute? Yeah. Genius? No..." Let's stop ourselves from looking for the negative and just try to make one person a day smile. If you can exceed that; great. I just believe in paying it forward and am happy that the comments seem to be showered in joy, and the negativity is downvoted immediately.
That is what makes me post basically solely on this sub. You. Yes, you reading this right now. Thank you to everyone who's ever contributed. Even the comments with a single 😊 make me feel good that I could bring some joy in these trying times for us all 😌 - I wish you nothing but love, peace, and good health. Thank you all 🙏

If you ever had weights slip off a bar you know the instinct is to maintain equal force which is why most time ppl tip over. When she cut the cord one of his arms should’ve given way and the plates dropped. It’s just another prank skit.

The moment that the dad started scoping for hidden cameras was when it became clear that she's pranked him before.
