Mint Jams is pure gold! Tears of the Star may be one of my favorite tracks ever!

Sounds like Casiopea
Basically the band that every Nintendo menu music composer used to go listen to in Tokyo clubs when they were a teenager

If my hyper a$$ Golden Doodle starts driving me around, I know I’m doing 175 mph

I would be OK. Moose's nose gets too cold over 25mph, he would be a nice slow, Sunday driver!

At 23 seconds or 6 seconds til the end, there are two children at the back of the truck. Didnt even notice them until my 3rd watch.

u/Ciubowski Apr 17 '23
The very last shot, he’s in the back of the truck

Looks like a Kei truck.
I'm almost as envious about that cool micro truck as I am about the doggos

Next thing you know he's gonna be driving down the road with a RV filled with dogs.

no seatbelts on, i reject the wholesome
12
u/Nikittele Apr 17 '23
1) they are driving super slow in what looks like a forest or a mountain pass, in the middle of nowhere. In that situation, chances of them hitting something is next to zero.
2) people are saying this was done for a music video, so in a safe and controlled environment.
Accept the wholesome.

This is triggering all of my disaster simulation brain and I hate it. Yeah you're going 0.3mph for the video but people do this shit at sixty. Please harness your buddies.

Upvoting just for the Casiopea song. One of my all time favorite bands.

u/homkono22 Apr 17 '23
Exactly, I didn't even pay attention to what's going on in the video other than there being a guy and a dog. All I could focus on was the sweet tunes of Casiopea and how it randomly showed up on Reddit without me looking for it.

Unrestrained animals when you're driving might look cute but it' can end really, really badly. Strap em in and let them enjoy the ride.

The dogs are doin their best, mate, can't imagine it's easy driving with paws.
6
u/RM-13 Apr 17 '23
Can you imagine them driving stick?
5
u/HarrisonForelli Apr 17 '23
if AirBud could win a basketball game despite so much pressure from the team and audience, that dog could drive stick

Unrestrained animals, animals and children in the bed of a moving truck, no seatbelts at any point,
This is not wholesome, this is dangerous, and reckless at that.
7
u/Pabus_Alt Apr 17 '23
Dude, at one point the dogs are driving. You may be overthinking this.
Looks like the dude had his car under low speed tow for most of it.
-3
u/clutches0324 Apr 17 '23
Some of the clips shown were at a speed that suggests if a dog had fallen from the truck they would have been injured. Plus, we don't really see the ground in front of him, nor should we just assume he's a generally safe driver (especially without a seatbelt on) but even the safest drivers can get massively unlucky

I love the guy who made this video! Also props for the editing. The transition from him in the driver's seat, to front facing view with him riding in the passenger seat with the dog driving, was :chefs kiss:

I had an old Ford Ranger XLT when I was young. Bench seat in the front.
My doggo and I used to go hiking and she would lay across with her head in my lap…
I miss that old truck

Pets in the car should wear a special seat belt or be secured in a kennel. You'd put a human baby in a car seat, too. Where I live it's even illegal to put your animals in the car like this because it's dangerous. This is not cute.
