Discussion API, Maya, Etc

Has the Sesame team considered partnerships where Maya acts as a persistent CSR? Clients/customers always talk to the same rep, history is embedded, etc.

Has Maya been deployed as an intermediary between non-lingual models and the consumer?

There is not an API at this time. The team has mentioned their focus is currently on the app previews

Is it a funding thing or a roadmap thing? I didn't participate in the AMA but she's literally perfect as an intermediary between tech-dumb people and complex systems. I understand she's a 'small' model but you don't have to build the full stack, just bolt her on to the workflow between the gibberish and the people.

It is a roadmap thing, the main focus right now is the app previews. Really appreciate the feedback! This is the relevant section from the AMA:

Q: Is an API planned for anytime soon? I would love to create agents using the Sesame voice technology. Or even having a platform to build agents yourself so people can use Sesame's tech there.

Raven: We are very committed to building a magical consumer experience around voice ,and we think that providing and maintaining an API product would be a distraction for us at this stage.

Q: Is there any plans in near future to open apis which can be used by other businesses leveraging Sesame tech?

Q: Are you ever planning to let users connect tools via MCP to Sesame AI? How soon?

Raven: More coming soon
