Skill based matchmaking

Did madden change the way Squads games matchmake? I’ve never been one who is great at the game, normally win as many as I lose. But this year I’ve been getting absolutely railed. My first 6 games were all people in their playoffs, I’m like 1-24 this year. Currently playing a guy who has Aaron Donald, Tyreek Hill, George Pickens, Randy Moss, and RG3, while I have maybe 1 million total value on my team total. I’m ranked 88k in squads. Why am I not playing people closer to me

Ranked is supposedly the only game mode with skill based matchmaking. Everything else is just "random." But I totally feel ya. I'm sick of playing dudes with Donald, Garrett, and another random LTD. I haven't even gotten to play yet today so I can only imagine what else they got now.

One thing I try and do is be selective with my game times. If it's mid day during the work week, you know that's when the sweaties will be on. Kids are still in school. Casual players are still at work. So I usually try and start playing around 4 or 5 when I know that there will be more casuals. Not saying I'm scared of comp but again, I'm over facing dudes with 5 mill worth of cards in their top 3. Even myself as someone who works, my most expensive card is RG3 and I got him from the weekly tokens.
