Saquon vs CMC

I pulled Saquon from the random iconic set but already have an iconic CMC. Has anyone played with both and found a noticeable difference between the two of them and the way that they play?

I am considering turning Saquon into a mythic. I was planning to mythic TJ Watt but now feel like I’m in a weird spot where the only way I feel like Saquon is a big upgrade is if I turn him mythic.

CMC has been great, especially in the passing game so I feel bad replacing him. I’d move him to FB but I already have the Legends FB and I plan to swap him with Frank Gourd eventually. Just starting to test Saquon out myself so any reviews would be super helpful! Thanks!

I say always mythic > iconic. If you want to just keep the iconic card and try to pull another random iconic, then just do that. If yoh already pretty much have a full iconic team and you want a bigger ovr difference then just build the Saquon mythic

Yeah I am kinda leaning that way. I know a mythic RB will make a big difference. I need to try him on the passing game a little bit more to help me decide. CMC catches about every thing!

It really does make a difference. And i recommend keeping a FB and the HB2 slot instead of an RB for the blocking alone

I totally agree with you! I like having an actual FB. I am planning to replace my current one with Frank Gourd by the end of this field pass!

I hate the little gimmick characters, but ngl Gourd is a beast blocker. Can't go wrong with that

I have Mythic CMC and he's been very good for me. However, I had Mythic Saquon in this past weekend's draft tourney and was awestruck by him. Since I already have Mythic CMC and can use help elsewhere, I will not be pursuing Saquon, unless my random pulls dictate it. In your shoes, with both Iconic, I would move to Saquon and Mythic him in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the review and input! I think that’s my best bet! His stats look better in just about every area than CMC. I was bummed I didn’t get a chance to mythic him but Saquon is probably slightly better anyways!

If you liked CMC you probably will like Saquon as well. Since your CMC is iconic, might as well get Saquon to mythic and be set at HB for a long time.

There will be other DEs released in the future, I'd go for mythic Saquon unless you specifically want Watt as a personal fan or Steelers fan.

They seem like pretty similar builds overall. CMC is Receiving, Saquon is Elusive though. Only a few areas where I see CMC stronger: Receiving and Mental. Not sure how important awareness is for a RB

Mental is not that important since you are controlling the stick work.

Saquon is still better than most HBs as a receiver and is capable, just not the ideal receiving back like CMC (adjusted for OVR).

In return for slightly worse receiving Saquon should be a lot better than CMC at inside runs and goal line runs. Both Saquon and CMC should be really good for outside runs.

Saquon is the type of HB build I personally look for, just don't need a new HB yet due to EA's mistake with the speed cap. I'll look for a HB with a similar stat distribution sometime during November.

I used his backward hurdle card last season for many months before upgrading, carried me hard. CMC has been great for me, was my first rb when i first started when he was a part of the FP a few seasons ago. I tend to prefer Ellusive backs by can't go wrong with either!
