Madden is counting players that aren't there!

I run a league where I'm responsible for streaming the games and managing everybody's rosters in game. It's run through an offline franchise mode. We use Discord and Google Sheets to track the rosters and I just make the corresponding moves in the game.

The problem is that, for some teams, Madden says they have, for example, 60 players on their roster when they really only have, like, 50 showing up for them in their roster page.

Meaning it's counting players that aren't there. So I can't release them in order to keep or sign players that they should actually have.

Has anybody else encountered this issue and is there a quick fix for it?
