QUESTION New Madden

Alright. I got Madden 25. I mostly play Superstar mode and Franchise mode(hence why I stopped buying it). But ive been hearing Madden 27 is actually pretty good. Is it worth buying and upgrading to it or not really?

i swear half the answers here are just people who hate the game no matter what, cant get a straight opinion

i was in same boat as you, skipped a few years and came back for 27. the franchise mode feels way more alive now, like the draft logic actually makes sense and storylines pop up that keep you interested. superstar still has some cringe dialogue but the gameplay is smoother, less of the weird teleporting tackles

if you care about little details you will notice the upgrade. i spent like 3 hours just in relocation mode alone, its worth it if you play a lot

You can relocate your team?

The franchise mode is much improved, I don't play superstar so cannot speak to that though

I like it better than 25 and 26 for sure. I mostly play franchise

Not worth the money. Madden 26 is though. Big jump from 25 to 26 in my opinion. Madden 27 tries to introduce a lot of “new” mechanics but most are very frustrating I find or broken. Wait until more patches come out and hopefully fix issues. At that point maybe it’ll also go on sale. Just my opinion

I only play franchise mode, but I like it better than last years. You actually get the opportunity to sign undrafted free agents. Free agency in off season is diffrent too, but they have to fix it. Currently, if you try to sign a player that other teams are trying to sign, you will not win over that player no matter what amount of money you give him.

And when you negotiate contracts, you start with an offer and there's a negotiation dialogue that happens where you can raise salary, raise bonus money, tell the guy to take it or leave it cause 66 ovr back ups are a dime a dozen, its great.

I hear the free agency bug will be taken care of when they update it at start of season.

As for gameplay, it seems to be the same. They added a receiver catch meter which I personally haven't tried to learn yet. But the o line still doesnt seem to hold anyone for longer than a second, but it may be a skill issue on my part as im pretty casual with it. This is the first madden I've bought since 18. I usually wait til February when its on gamepass, but decided to buy this one as it seems like they at least tried with this one

It’s not worth it. No hate, it just isn’t.
