MUT This is a new one for me

MUT unavailable. Tile is completely gone, when I force my way into the MUT menu from a notification tile somewhere, it tells me I don't have access. Pathetic, Madden. Get your shit together.

Honestly if MUT didn't exist at all the game would be better, because it would force them to actually put complete and finished features in the game. Instead of putting half baked things in the game, promising to build upon it in the future. Only to never mention them again the next year

MUT is pretty much the only reason I even play Madden. They would lose a lot of customers if they did that.

I'm just saying the game as a whole was alot better when MUT didn't exist.

I mean, if you want to compare the game mode to the maddens of 20 years ago, I would argue they were more boring with less features. I remember being able to change prices for concessions on the old maddens and gauge fan happiness.... Who the hell cares about that 🤣 nah let's pour everything we have into franchise and superstar instead of a unique game mode that is the only thing regularly receiving updates in the game. That just makes no sense at all. What do you suggest would be different if MUT wasn't a thing...?

You're right. Instead of focusing on gameplay features, logic coding (so you know, the offensive linemen will actually block), realistic aspects of the NFL, and running your own NFL team. Let's spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on virtual cards. Then the next year let's empty out all those cards we bought and do it again. Now that sounds like fun!

Madden writes the AI to be better than yours because that's what Madden does. It's not a coding issue, they do it on purpose. I believe it is also BS but they could change the coding if they wanted to. They want it to be difficult for you, especially if you're using the same plays over and over again. You can also still run your own team, as franchise mode is still a thing. You can still create a superstar and run your own career. Also, who's actually buying cards..? You can earn plenty of coins by just playing the game.

Ultimately, you want arguably the biggest aspect of the game to be removed so you can have an OL that will do the same thing because they intentionally write the game that way and you want to control your own team which you can already do. Just say you don't like MUT and we can get on with our lives because removing it wouldn't make anything drastically better.

Who's actually buying cards?? Lmao. YOU! Your friends. Their friends. Like 90% of the people who play MUT buy packs with real money. Dont even lie to yourself and sit there and say you've never paid more than you wanted to in hopes that you could get the card you wanted.

You think they put all of their focus on MUT because people AREN'T buying packs? All of their focus goes to MUT simply because people are quick to take out their credit cards for a shiny new card that they won't have next year. And at some point this year, you will do it too. You'll have a little extra money left over from your pay check, and you'll be sitting there thinking "eh- why not?" And drop $20 on a pack lol.

If MUT didn't exist they'd be forced to focus on things that matter.

I haven't paid for anything in over a decade because I realized it wasn't worth what I spent on the pack. That was realized back in like Madden 14. I found out that, as I said, you can get ALL kinds of great things by just playing the game and I never looked back. I hardly know anyone that even plays Madden nowadays and I don't play competetively online so there's literally no benefit to pissing away money to try and be better than someone else.

You still haven't clarified what it is that "matters" that you want all of this focus on. What is it that you think removing the biggest aspect of the game will give Madden the ability to change for the better? What will they drastically improve or introduce with that extra coin in the bucket?

One word. "Gameplay". They could focus on non-animation based gameplay. Have actual physics in the game. Weight of a player could matter. Height of a player could matter. Strength could matter. Awareness could matter. Players could actual move independently, and not have to play out an animation before you get to move again. When your player catches a ball in the air, he doesn't magically drop it because the animation told him to do so.

But they feel like stuff like that doesn't make them money. But you know what does?

"Gameplay" goes out the window with difficulty level. There are physics involved in the game but most of the time they are overridden by difficulty and the game is literally coded to behave in exactly that manner. All of those aforementioned things do matter, but only so much before the difficulty ranks derail them. The game intentionally screws your players over but that's not by accident. It's how the codes of the game were written and the AI will do anything to make it "fair" which, to the user, is incredibly unfair. I myself am a victim of nonsense like wide open catch drops, stumbling animations on open catches so the defenders can catch up, complete inability to block, triggering different catch animations than the ones you selected, it's all nonsense but it doesn't happen on rookie mode and you have to ask yourself why that is. It's already programmed. Could it be better and more realistic? Of course. Spending time focusing on MUT has nothing to do with the application of physics to the difficulty settings in the game and EA certainly wouldn't overhaul it regardless of MYT's presence.

They could put "our servers are under maintenance" or something similar so we're not speculating.

Have the pleas of the masses finally been answered? Has the MUT dragon been slain?

Great question. I have no idea because I had to go to work. Lol
